Just in time for the final chart cycle of 2024, GloRilla is building on an already strong performance this year. advertising billboard‘s Rhythmic Airplay rankings benefit from her collaboration with sexyy red “Whatchu Kno About Me”. The single released by the duo rose from No. 3 on the charts on December 28th. Ranked No. 1 as co-lead vocalist.
According to Luminate, “Whatchu Kno About Me” grew 10% in airplay, making it the most played song on the U.S. Monitor Rhythm Radio panel during the tracking week ending December 19, earning it a place in the Rhythmic Airplay Summit. The collaboration replaces Future’s “Too Fast,” which slipped to No. 2 a week after its release.
The new champion also draws from previous Rhythmic Airplay hits. It sampled Lil Boosie’s “Wipe Me Down” featuring Foxx and Webbie, which peaked at No. 23 in 2007 and stayed on the chart for 16 weeks.
As mentioned before, GloRilla took first place at Rhythmic Airplay. Prior to her crowning, her previous two singles had both put her within striking distance of the top spot. “Wanna Be,” a collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B, peaked at No. 3 in August, while the Memphis rapper’s solo single “TGIF” reached the No. 2 spot last month.
For Sexyy Red, “Whatchu Kno About Me” marks the rapper’s second No. 1 at Rhythm Radio, following her and SZA’s appearance on Drake’s “Rich Baby Daddy” and back-to-back hits in December 2023. Two weeks to win the title. Her previous best performance in the category was her single “Get It sexyyy,” which peaked at No. 8 in July.
In addition to the victory, “Whatchu Kno About Me” dominated Rap Airplay after also climbing to 3-1. It jumped to the top spot after a 10% spike in viewers during the tracking week, also displacing Future’s “Too Fast,” which dropped back to second place (down 11% in viewers). There, GloRilla takes the No. 1 spot for the third time following “Tomorrow 2,” Cardi B’s six-week reign in 2022-23 and “TGIF”‘s eight-week reign earlier this year. Meanwhile, Sexyy Red scored her second Rap Airplay No. 1 in December 2023 after a four-week run with “Rich Baby Daddy.”
In addition to their current radio hit, GloRilla and sexyy red have collaborated on another new hit song. The duo joins Lil Wayne on Tyler, The Creator’s “Sticky,” which goes 10-8 on Rhythmic Airplay (up 17% in plays) and remains high at No. 11 on Rap Airplay (Audiences increased by 11%).
