What does a base without any real purpose do to pass the time? Well, engaging in local hobbies, of course.
In Going Dutch Season 1, Episode 4, “Korfball,” the game of korfball becomes the talk of the town.
When the Americans and Dutch form teams, a friendly (or not so friendly) rivalry ensues, with Colonel Quinn (Denis Leary) believing this is his only chance to defeat the Dutch.
His daughter, Captain Quinn (Tyler Missiak), also sees this as an opportunity to impress her father, so she brings out her high school alter ego, Rocket.
Meanwhile, Colonel Quinn’s relationship with the town’s brothel owner quickly heats up, and she visits him on base, where she talks about the game of korfball.
TV Fanatic is excited to exclusively premiere Katya’s (Catherine Tate) foray into what may be the world’s strangest military base.
When she meets Corporal Papadakis (Hal Cumpston), she experiences firsthand what the base has to offer and is impressed by the sheer weirdness on display.
The YouTube video below begins with an interaction between Katya and Papadakis.
“I didn’t expect to find a true American weirdo,” Katia told Papadakis, who couldn’t stand upright in her presence and spoke to her in a way that would make anyone uncomfortable. Ogle.
“I was walking in the mall and I was in a really high mood and the recruiter waved at me and told me you could vape in the military, which was a damn lie, and then boom, Corporal Papadakis, Future U.S. Hero, I believe age is nothing but an age number.
He tries to flirt with Katya, but she rejects him because she’s here to meet the Colonel and his weirdness isn’t exciting.
Colonel Quinn arrived just in time to save her from Papadakis, who probably slept for the rest of the day off.
Katya brings up the korfball game and suggests that it would be fun for the colonel to lose, thus causing some excitement in the colonel.
His competitive spirit wouldn’t allow that to happen and he promised to beat the Dutch team.
However, since Katya did not come to the base for sightseeing, there were still some pressing matters.
Their relationship seems to be moving quickly as they skip the small talk and get straight to the main activity: sex.
Other cast members of “Going Dutch” include Danny Pudi as XO Major Abraham Shah, Lacey Mosley as Sergeant Dana Conway Laci Mosley, Joe Morton as General Davidson, and Dempsey Bryk as Private Anthony “BA” Chapman ).
Tune in to “Korfball” tonight (Thursday, January 23) at 9:30/8:30c on FOX to find out who wins.
