What makes this release even more exciting is that this is a new Yamazaki Takashi– director of the film, will include an additional 13 minutes of exclusive behind-the-scenes material.
The film was released to celebrate Godzilla Day on November 3 and commemorate the 70th anniversary of the original 1954 film’s release in Japan.

In the latest installment of the classic Godzilla series, the ultimate monster is back and worse than ever. The story takes place in the days after the end of World War II, as Japan is suffering from postwar devastation. The emotional toll brought the country to its lowest point.
The story follows the failed kamikaze pilot Kiuchi (Ryunosuke Kamiki) and Noriko (Hamabe Minami), a woman is forced to become homeless and care for an abandoned child. During this time, Godzilla lands, further dragging Japan into chaos and destruction.
