What do you get when Guy Ritchie, Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren combine?

The answer: Paramount+ Showtime’s upcoming series will have us looking forward to every episode.

The untitled Guy Ritchie Project (currently titled “The New Guy Ritchie Project” in the press release below) is a global organized crime series centered around two warring families and the men responsible for protecting them at all costs The loyal mediator unfolds.

With Richie at the helm and Hardy, Brosnan and Mirren in the lead, how could this possibly go wrong?

Here’s what we know so far.

Ritchie’s new global crime series Venom: The Last Dance, co-starring with Tom Hardy, is currently in production in London) A series regular alongside Pierce Brosnan (Die Another Day) and Helen Mirren (1923).

New Guy Ritchie Project Produced in association with Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios.

The series will premiere globally on Paramount+ in 2025 and premiere in the United States on Paramount+ with Showtime Plan

Hardy will play “Harry da Souza,” a professional mediator representing the Harrigan family, while Brosnan will play “Conrad Harrigan,” a highly successful Irish criminal in London for whom Harry works. The head of the family.

Mirren will play Maeve Harrigan, Conrad’s wife and matriarch of the Harrigan family.

“Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren are all masters of their fields, and we are honored to have them take on the roles of Guy… The cast of Ritchie’s new global original series.

“The creative abilities of Guy, Jez Butterworth and Ronan Bennett, combined with this talented cast, is the perfect formula for what we believe will be the next brand-defining series for Paramount+ Showtime.”

“The firepower on and off screen in this new Guy Ritchie crime series will deliver everything audiences have come to expect from Paramount+ Showtime: high-caliber performances, high-impact storylines and talent from some of the best in the industry high-level production,” said Jeff Grossman, executive vice president of programming at Paramount+.

This is great news for those of us who watched Kin when it aired in the US and have been desperately waiting for news about a second season and beyond.

While we don’t know if this is a present-day endeavor or comes from the long history of Ireland’s warring crime families (sorry, Ireland, but we love you!), we have high hopes for the project.

One of my favorite series is Love/Hate Ireland. There are a lot of great storylines to be mined here, and Richie is the perfect person to mine them.

The series stars Keith Cox, Nina Diaz, David C. Glasser, Guy Ritchie, Jez Butterworth, Ronan Bennett, Christy Gere, Ivan Atkinson, Tom Hardy, Dean Baker, Ron Burke, David Hartkin and Bob Yari serve as executive producers.

For those of you who are still confused about the brand, we are still confused too.

We’re pretty sure this will air on Showtime cable as well as Paramount+ and show time. In other words, if you have Paramount+ but don’t add Showtime, you’ll have to watch it on cable. If the situation changes, we will let you know!

So, will this be another success for Paramount+ and Showtime? Leave a comment below and tell us what you think!
