It’s no surprise considering that Happy’s Place season 1 found a loyal audience on Friday.
In fact, NBC revealed that it boosted it by 54% of its audience on Friday’s 8pm schedule.
These numbers represent encouraging signals for the future as broadcast networks strive to remain competitive.
The biggest question is whether it stays for the night of next season, or whether the show’s powerful digital footprint forces the network to move it to one night with more people watching TV.
This is likely a show that can benefit from it, but we should be clearer in the coming months when NBC provides timelines to advertisers.
Happy’s Place is one of two shows renewed by NBC
Happy’s Place joins St. Dennis Medical as the network confirms it will air next season.
You might think NBC will make a decision now, but it looks like we will wait for a while.
Chicago Fire, Chicago Medicine, Chicago PD, Law & Order, and Law & Order: Special Victims Departments are all considered renewable locks.
They are the top five dramas on the network and are doing well overall, so there is no reason to believe they won’t be back.
No, none of them were destined to be law and order: organized crime treatment. That way, we mean they won’t just move to peacocks.
These five shows are the backbone of NBC’s Slate, so they will arrive before the other shows arrive at the level.
The news isn’t that good for the sophomore drama and irrational news found, and a lot has been lost this season.
Expected to be lower in dramas at 10 p.m., but irrationality is the network’s lowest rated drama series (0.18 rating) in the demo, followed by discovery (0.22 rating).
Discovering being a performer on the Peacock again, so Shanola Hampton-Front’s thriller could knock out another contract extension online.
But we should have a better idea of this when other NBC’s mid-season dramas premiere.
Grosse Pointe Garden Society and Suits La will be on Sunday, which will be a big test to determine whether the script can still resonate for NBC on the weekend.
Suit Los Angeles should have a nice initial tune, thanks to the original life-thrilling shock when it arrived on Netflix in 2023.
However, Grosse Pointe Garden Society is hardly a compatible prospect, so we need to see how one person abandons it.
NBC had premiered the Hunting Party last month as a mid-season drama, but the numbers of the slot machines scheduled regularly are not encouraging.
Melissa Roxburgh’s drama currently has an average audience of about 3 million, with a rating of 0.22.
If it stabilizes, it may have cases of renewal, but having many other shows around that level is not easy.
Freshman drama Smart Minds didn’t get a return order, which was reportedly driven by Zachary Quinto’s commitment to other projects.
The medical drama averages 3 million viewers and a rating of 0.23, so it’s a midway performer and can also be renewed.
It may all depend on the appearance of other shows.
