Warner Bros. looking for actors Mark Rylance As Dumbledore in the upcoming movie harry potter Streaming Series. Rylance is a great choice for the role, but the deal isn’t done yet.
Variety reports that Rylance is their top choice, but Warner Bros. Television has not yet begun talks with the actor, but the studio has reached out to him to gauge his interest and availability.
When asked to comment on the casting, an HBO representative said: “We’re excited that such a high-profile series has generated a lot of rumors and speculation. We’ll only be finalizing the casting as we wrap up pre-production.” Confirm details at time of transaction.
HBO is currently looking for a new trio of young actors to play iconic characters such as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. A few months ago they launched an open casting call for children from across the UK and Ireland to audition for the lead role.
It will be interesting to see how the cast of this fantasy series comes together. However, it would be cool to see Rylance take on the role of Dumbledore.
