It looks like High Potential is once again putting the case of Roman’s disappearance on the back burner. This series is exciting, but it’s playing a “coward” game with the audience.
Not that I’m complaining, but a little consistency goes a long way. If you’re like this TV fanatic, you’ll love having the loose ends perfectly wrapped in a bow.
High Potential delivers one amazing series after another thanks to a talented cast, not to mention a writing staff that takes viewers on an emotional rollercoaster.
What else does the brass at ABC need to keep a knockout series like this going for another season? Heck, give a high-potential player a multi-season extension.
If for no other reason than to ensure that we’ll see some of the interesting characters introduced in High Potential Season 1 Episode 10 again.
High Potential Takes Advantage of Familiar TV Faces for Cameos
First and foremost, this particular case is a true scavenger hunt for clues and suspects. However, it brought some of the best new characters and will hopefully appear again in the future.
The lovable and talented Jai Rodriguez plays a worried father who hires the victim as a nanny.
Rodriguez is better known as a member of the original “Fantastic Five” in “The Rescuers,” and has since solidified his acting chops in recent productions such as “Fantasy Island,” “Eastsiders” and “The Rookie.” talent.
And, of course, there’s the always-boisterous Ken Marino, who I imagine will pop up again and again with comedic levity as the lovable but chatty private eye.
Marino is one of those actors you know so well because you’ve seen him in so many things that it’s hard to pinpoint exactly where you know him from.
You most likely know him from his hilarious roles in The Party, Children’s Hospital, and The Other Two. However, if you mistook him for Rob Riegel, you’re not alone. The two are interchangeable.
Eliza Coupe’s Carina could become a popular recurring character
Finally, there’s the incomparable and hilarious Eliza Coupe. The actor deserves her part for what she did in High Potential Season 1 Episode 10.
From the moment she appeared on screen, I wanted to laugh. Her signature frown and sneer have become synonymous with her character.
Not to mention, I loved her character’s interactions with Morgan and the Cadbury eggs. How great would it be if Karina showed up again? As Morgan says, making adult friends is difficult.
All signs point to Coupe’s Carina being the killer, but for high potential, that’s too neat a case.
If there’s one thing fans of the series have come to expect, it’s to expect the unexpected.
However, and not at all unexpectedly, Eliza performed well in her role as her comedic role left a lasting impression on the audience.
If you’re unfamiliar with this actor’s talents, I implore you to check out all of her glorious hilarity in shows like Happy Endings, Future Man, and Casual.
High Potential is the kind of series you’ll watch again and again, with all the things you’re sure to miss the first time
As for the case itself, it’s understandable if you spend a long time trying to keep up with all the clues and suspects.
High Potential is an amazing series that excels in almost every department. However, I’ll be the first to admit that I needed multiple watches to hear everything Morgan had to say.
Then again, it would be hard to believe she has high potential if she’s not talking a million miles an hour while explaining it. The looks on Oz and Daphne’s faces pretty much said it all.
Even with my quick note-taking skills, I couldn’t keep up with every detail Miss Guillory jotted down. On the one hand, what is the overall situation with the Church and the Calendar?
There is also the question of how some people cross themselves in a certain way. Thankfully, the show doesn’t rely on the audience to connect the dots. That’s where LAPD Special Counsel Morgan Guillory (Caitlin Olson) comes in.
Ultimately, however, the case of Oksana’s death Tara is solved, and the violence between the nannies reaches its anticipated violent conclusion. Beyond that, what actions do you expect from adults who spend time with children every day?
Jokes aside, this was another heartbreaking case, but thankfully, it had a happy ending. However, that wasn’t the only tear-worthy moment in the episode.
Morgan’s big brain is great, but it’s her huge heart that leads to some truly amazing and unforgettable moments
Raise your hand if you thought Morgan was going to go to jail for murdering a child in Parachute and Murder , because I know I’m ready to take the case.
How Morgan controls himself is a mystery to me because I lose it when that little boy says all these horrible things to adorable Elliot.
The first thing that happens is that the small handheld gaming device hits the blunt end of the hammer.
Then I would hand the pieces to my mom and say, “This is going to be your son one day if you don’t teach him some goddamn manners.” Oh my God, I get mad all over again just thinking about it.
Honestly, I think Morgan handled the situation with the grace of a mother who cares about how her actions affect her children. However, there was raging anger in that woman’s eyes.
God knows what role she plays in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia , and Mick won’t back down.
Morgan’s restraint is not surprising considering how much time and energy she devoted to providing her children with a stable and loving home. Seriously, Morgan’s real power is being a super mom.
There’s a lot of love in this show, and although there are more subtle hints, there are still hints that Karadek is developing some feelings for Morgan, romantic or otherwise.
For example, this is very “blink and you’ll miss it,” but toward the end of the episode, when Karadek (Daniel Sunjata) and Morgan are in the interrogation room, Morgan calls Karadek “sneaky Spice,” and the man quickly tried to hide Morgan’s unconscious smile.
The clues are there, even if Miss Guillory can’t see them herself.
Before the case was solved, who did you initially think the murderer would be?
How angry did that scene with Elliot make you?
