We all hope that the situation in High Potential Season 1 Episode 6 is purely fictional and does not reflect our current state of technology at all. I don’t need to see an eight-year-old vaping.
I don’t know how this series does it, but it continues to push each episode to greater heights than the one before.
All aspects of the story, from the plot cases to the overall story, come together perfectly to create the perfect television show. High Potential is setting new standards for programs.
If that means more gorgeously dressed characters solving obscure crimes, count me in.
As always, Morgan is right on the money
As far as the case goes, the matter went off in the best possible way. You might think that the grunt work of a police officer would be tedious, and it probably is, but that’s not the case with high-potential projects.
Granted, that’s the magic of storytelling, but in this case there are too many moving parts to speed things up.
However, they could save a lot of time if they listened to Morgan (Caitlin Olson). As usual, the woman had her answer right from the start.
She knew intuitively that Elaine was not killed by her assistant Sam. I’m ashamed to admit that I, too, briefly thought Sam might have killed her boss in her drunken stupor.
Thankfully, it was just a case of self-defense combined with an unfortunate push that resulted in Elaine’s death on the spot. Another thing to be grateful for is that she’s not real, because that woman is a monster.
While Sam being the murderer might give Morgan a more realistic view of the possible killer, it would be nice to see Morgan smiling as he leaves the precinct at the end of the day.
Then again, that smile might have more to do with recent developments in the workplace.
Morgan and Karadek are both high-potential players that anyone needs
If you’ve read the spoilers for High Potential Season 1 Episode 6, you’ll know that the episode synopsis mentions that a new co-worker comes to Morgan’s attention.
While it’s no fireworks, there’s definitely some friction between Morgan and the new janitor. Getting back together definitely doesn’t bode well for Ludo and Morgan.
I hate to say it, but the janitor is also a soon-to-be nurse and is very handsome and charming. As long as Morgan takes his time, I wouldn’t mind seeing where this leads.
Can you imagine what the precinct would be like if everyone found out Morgan was dating in the workplace? Karadek would never let her down.
The show does bring some sibling energy to Morgan and Karadek. I don’t know how the character of Morgan can really focus while working.
How had Morgan not lost himself in the smoldering fire of Karadek? Even though he acted intimidating during the interrogation, he was still incredibly handsome.
However, Morgan and Karadek’s growth as partners shows just how much they need each other. Their different perspectives on the case complement each other.
Morgan is the mama bear we all deserve
Karadek (Daniel Sunjata) is convinced that Sam killed Elaine, which he isn’t wrong about, while Morgan is convinced that it was the husband because she knew Sam wasn’t a murderer, which Morgan isn’t wrong about either.
Maybe if they were on the same page, they might have discovered the hidden camera in Elaine’s office sooner, but it wouldn’t be as interesting.
Morgan spent a week with the kids at Ludo (Taran Killam), and she deserved all the fun. While children are a big part of Morgan’s family life, it’s also fun to see her so focused on her work.
However, hopefully this won’t be a repeat event, as the kids are entertaining and help keep people focused on Morgan’s maternal side.
Speaking of mommy instincts, Morgan doesn’t need her kids around to go into full “Mama Bear” mode.
I don’t know if the writers just didn’t want the audience to forget that Morgan is a mother, but the scene where Morgan interrogates Carmen was filled with emotion.
Morgan’s motherly relationship with the woman is one of the many reasons why she is such a valuable asset to police. As Morgan more or less said, she would do anything to protect her children.
Morgan couldn’t see the criminal a man could be. She saw through the pain they were in.
Each case seems to have a high-potential development trend
While it’s sweet to see cases that showcase Morgan’s big heart, has anyone else noticed a very real theme in almost all of the cases? There is always some connection with mother or child.
The first episode of the first season of “High Potential” tells the story of a daughter searching for her mother who was taken away. This one is a bit of a head-scratcher, but the series is just getting started.
Since then, we’ve had a mechanic being pushed off a roof while his mother stayed by his side. Then, there were the two little girls who were kidnapped.
High Potential Season 1 Episode 5 is all about moms and kids, complete with fun and exotic animals.
High potential writers seem to have a plan and stick to it. If that’s the case, I don’t mind at all. Regardless of the situation, Morgan is a character well worth watching at work.
One of the most striking things about this episode is that Morgan is going to be a great lawyer. Someone should call Kathy Bates and get Miss Morgan on Matlock as soon as possible.
To be fair, it’s always possible that Morgan was inspired to throw her brain into some textbooks and earn a degree or a dozen. Like all the ads say, it’s never too late to get an education or whatever.
High Potential Season 1 Episode 6 is a symphony of emotions that come together to weave another incredible episode. ABC’s hit show has fans obsessed with it — including yours.
