If there’s one thing every fan of High Potential can look forward to, it’s that every episode ends on an emotional note, and “Rams” is no exception. Raise your hand if you’re confused about what the episode title means.
Another thing viewers should expect is that every episode will have a case that could easily receive a part two. If you’re someone like this TV fanatic, you may have noticed that the case in this episode felt like it could have been fleshed out into quite a few parts.
Maybe that’s for the best, because even though Morgan has high potential, she struggled in this episode. Then again, I have a feeling all that baseball knowledge will come in handy, like all the other random facts floating around her brain.
Additionally, it must be said that Karadek apparently developed feelings for Morgan, much to the chagrin of many viewers.
This drama about high potential seems to get more confusing with every episode, in the best of ways
Look, I’m not thinking Karadek and Morgan wouldn’t make a cute couple, but it’s so fun to watch Morgan get along with him.
And, you know, if things get tough, that kind of goes out the window.
Furthermore, their union would be a human resources nightmare for Captain Soto, who is busy fulfilling her agreement with Morgan.
The woman has been working on Roman’s case since High Potential Season 1, Episode 2.
If you’ve read the reviews for previous episodes, you’ll know that I’m very observant of any mention of Roman’s disappearance.
Well, high potential companies are coming back with a lot of revenue because we’re fully invested now. Plus, is anyone else surprised that Ava waited so long to tell Morgan that she overheard Selena telling her mom that Roman was definitely taken?
Also, if Morgan knew this information, why didn’t she share it with Ava before? I think it comes down to her not wanting to give Ava any false hope.
That’s just like Mama Morgan.
Is Mama Morgan just too good at being a mother, or is she focusing all her brainpower on being a good mother?
One thing I don’t know whether to praise or praise High Potential for is how effortless Morgan (Caitlin Olsen) makes motherhood look. I don’t have kids, but I know things are supposed to be messier.
This question was hard for me to wrap my head around, because Morgan has made it abundantly clear that her brain is a minefield of distractions.
If you’re a mom who can relate to this for viewers without kids, please leave a comment. Make it count, because even the best moms don’t smile like Morgan.
Lord knows poor Tom has become the latest unfortunate victim of Morgan’s ever-preoccupied mind as he accidentally ignores his message.
This is probably the most relatable aspect of Morgan, because who here hasn’t completely forgotten to reply to a message while juggling five different things at once?
At least Tom was a good sport and eventually changed. Now, if he had seen the way Karadek saw Morgan at the end of the episode, things might have been very different.
High-potential people are always looking for attractive people, whether they are good or bad people.
One thing that Rams reveals is that Karadek clearly has real game underneath his brooding and mysterious exterior.
A detective by day and a sly operator by night, Karadek keeps his own little black book of ex-lovers, of whom the District Attorney appears to be one.
Still, the guy gulping down water may not even realize he’s developing feelings for his partner. Ten Bucks said he would drop some sort of hint in the High Potential season 1 finale.
For now, we can only speculate, but we’re only one episode away from the end of this incredible show’s debut season.
However, before we reach an epic ending, there are still murders taking place and the killers need to be apprehended.
Speaking of killers, it would be great if High Potential would stop making all the dastardly bad guys and killers so hot.
First there’s the victim in “Dirty, Rotten, Villain” who has abs of steel after cheating on vulnerable women, sinking him to the bottom of the bathtub.
Then there’s the dirty ex of the victim in High Potential Season 1 Episode 5, who’s a bodybuilding asshole. However, without him, Morgan might not have been able to solve the case.
Now we have a very sexy Frenchman who crushes his beloved victim not once but twice to make sure it gets done. Tiana has terrible taste in men.
High potential is quickly misled, continuing to keep viewers on their toes with impeccable writing
Speaking of Tiana, I’m not the only one who thinks she’ll be Marvin’s daughter.
The setup is there, but I think it would be so heartbreaking if Tiana realized her lover killed her father she didn’t know she had.
Still, I couldn’t blame the girl because I would have tried my best to prevent that guy from being deported too. However, the phrase “send him back to France” seems a bit out of place. France doesn’t seem like a country to escape from, but rather a country to save money to visit, right?
Then again, my detective skills were absolutely rubbish in Rams because I was convinced the killer was Steve Guttenberg.
For younger audiences, if you lived in the 80s and 90s, Gutenberg was a household name. This man has been acting for nearly five years and it is still circulating today.
In the spirit of complete honesty, I had no idea this actor was still working hard because I really thought he was retired. That’s my fault, as this man has been involved in many projects, from The Goldbergs to Ballers and now his latest, Paper Empire.
(Editor’s note: A tribute to Gutenberg for his incredibly selfless work during the Palisades Fire.)
So, if you also thought that an actor as prolific as Guttenberg must be the murderer, you’d be right. Weirdly, I’m glad he didn’t, because it would have been nice to see his character pop up again.
If that happens, though, it’ll have to be in the next season, because I have a feeling things will be focused on Roman in the next few episodes.
Now, the rather suspicious Gio is on the case, wondering what will happen next. On one hand, is anyone else confused as to why he ended up walking into a church?
Is this to show that He is the man of God? Or is he trying to turn over a new leaf? Or is the church some kind of front for his business dealings? So many questions!
Morgan’s potential love interest be damned, because this woman only has one man in mind, and that’s her ex. But isn’t that always the case?
Can you believe that, as of this review, ABC has still not renewed High Potential?
Do you think Gio will bring Morgan the real message?
Do you agree that Karadek seems to be developing feelings for Miss Guillory?
