In July 2024, Ado began her approximately three-month Introduction to Mona Lisa Tour Osaka’s Osaka Castle Hall and see a show. On October 13, she ended the tour with the finale at K-Arena in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture.
Opening for her at every show on the tour is Phantom Siita, an idol group produced by Ado with the concept of “retro horror”. Their unique performances had a huge impact on the audience.
2024 is going to be an extremely busy year for Ado. she stepped on hopeher first world tour, with a total of 14 performances and a total audience of more than 70,000 people. then there are HeartThe two-day show was held at Tokyo’s National Stadium and attracted more than 140,000 spectators. followed by Introduction to Mona Lisa travel.
Addo’s stage presence is best known for her box-room performances, but there’s more to her than just her extraordinary voice. In her dance performances, she expresses a range of emotions – delicate, manic, joyous. This dance is a defining part of Addo as an artist. The same goes for the show on October 13th. As the opening video plays on the screen behind her, the box rises seamlessly from beneath the stage. Of course, Ado also appeared in the box.
In her performance, Aduo’s shouts and screams richly express a full range of negative emotions such as anger, sadness, fear, disgust, pity, frustration, jealousy, etc. She kicked off the show with “KokoroToIuNaNoFukakai,” a song written by her emotional helmsman, utaite mafumafu. She pours out her emotions in her songs. The audience of “Backlight” and “Show” applauded, reflecting the audience’s high expectations for Ah Tu. Her voice is louder than ever, and coupled with a gorgeous backing band, she meets and exceeds those expectations. She effortlessly sang the dense lyrics of “Fleeting Lullaby.” If anything, Hodor seems to be looking for a new challenge. On “Rebellion,” she turned the band’s microphone toward the audience, and on “Kagakushu,” sound effects adorned her voice.
The movie includes the love song “Aitakute” which will be broadcast starting in August 2021 Kaguya-sama Finals: Love is War. At the time, Addo had yet to hold a solo show. Just as life experiences give people’s words more depth and persuasiveness, the range of emotions Addo has experienced since then have also given her voice a layered and grounded feel – a reality that cuts straight to the heart. She danced playfully during her performance of “Faking of Comedy” and then continued with a rhythmic performance of “Hungry Nicole,” punctuated by cheerleading dances and twists. Just like her unpredictable life, Aduo can always bring fresh discoveries through her songs, presenting pure and unabashed truth to the audience.
The highlight of the show was “RuLe” which got the entire floor moving to the music. As soon as the introduction started, the audience burst into cheers. It was clear this was one of those moments the crowd had been waiting for. Although her expression could not be seen from the silhouette, Aduo was sitting on a chair in the box and burst out laughing. This is the embodiment of a person who has reached a transcendental state. It’s her wildest performance, tossing her hair and unleashing a pent-up rage that can be felt in nearly every fiber of her being. Her voice came from deep within, overwhelmingly, expressing a different character. When the song ended, she stood on the chair and then collapsed on the floor. This is no longer just a song, but a shocking dramatic performance that makes the audience unable to take their eyes off and dare not blink. A Tu told the audience: “I believe that if, as a supporting role, my existence can help others, then I can start to love myself.” She sang with a sonorous and powerful voice, as if she had transformed into a beast. She easily accomplished things that ordinary people couldn’t. When the audience saw this scene, they couldn’t help but feel that their accumulated depression naturally dissipated without singing a single note. Just as she hoped, her singing brought the light to the audience, and one couldn’t help but tip their hat to her outstanding skills even when singing songs written by other artists.
In the second half of the performance, the box became larger, providing Ado with a wider performance space. The audience sang along and clapped during “I’m a Controversy,” “Kura Kura” and “Chocolat Cadabra,” but what was particularly striking was the audience’s excitement for each of her challenging vocal performances. Ado continues to perform song after song, showcasing her talent and elevating her songs in various genres such as the club music inspired “Nukegara” and “Yoru No Pierrot (TeddyLoid Remix)” as well as urban pop music “All Night Radio”, making them her own. “0” is the last song on Ado’s second album, playShe released “0” in July 2024. It is obvious from the audience’s reaction to the intro that “0” joined “RuLe” to become another highlight of the series. There’s an underground feel to these two songs, as if these songs don’t want to be discovered by the public. They also feel like particularly strong expressions of Hodor’s emotions.
During the encore, Aduo showed the audience two faces she had never shown before. She performed “Hello Signals”, then “That Band” and “Himawari”, an original song by the animated rock band Kessoku Band Rock Bochi! She later updated the arrangement of “Shoka,” the first song she wrote and wrote lyrics for when she was only 17 or 18, and played her own guitar, which she had been given when she was 13 .
“I keep moving forward and transcending the past so that one day I can love myself,” she said. Throughout this journey of loving herself, she has struggled with being judged based on superficial interpretations, and she has found it difficult to truly express herself. Addo said that through this voyage, she found the courage to discover her own will, her own essence and what she truly wanted to convey. She compared this to the Mona Lisa, a figure known to the world but whose personal details were unknown. Although she once considered giving up playing guitar, writing music, and writing lyrics, she later began to want to express herself through her music and words and show people a side of herself that they had never seen before. Even now, Addo still accepts the challenge of music while asking herself whether the voyage she believed in was really the right choice. Despite the massive changes happening around him, Hodor’s roots have remained the same. We can only hope she continues her voyage.
Ado performed in a rescheduled show at Portmesse Nagoya on December 27 and 28, where she performed her collaboration with Imagine Dragons, “Take Me to the Beach”, which was released on December 16 Begins broadcast globally.
