One of the things I dislike the least about TV fan culture is our obsession with romantic pairing.
But, I’m here to fully admit that I’m part of the problem.
It was embarrassing for fictional couples, having a show decide my emotional state based on whether two fictional characters end up together. But some shows have attracted me – real Get me – If you are reading this, I bet you’ve been there too.

What I’ve been trying to figure out is: Who should I actually blame? Is it the show itself? How to write characters? Actors and their chemistry? Or is it a chaotic combination of all these things, plus some invisible power that makes us lose collective thought to the fictional relationship?
Take Veronica Mars as an example. That show made me OK With Veronica and Logan. Their will – they are not – their dynamics drive the walls on me, because they are Clearly Perfect each other.
However, the writer insists on dragging things out and throwing away PIZ (remember him?
I even donated to the Veronica Mars Kickstarter movie to see Veronica and Logan finally get their happy ending. And them Have done it…until Hulu’s revival faces spitting from the fan base, killing Logan in the most unnecessary, angry way.
I’ve never seen a fanatic so fast. This single decision effectively killed Veronica MarsTo this day, I haven’t heard people shouting for another revival. What’s the point of Logan’s death?

Then comes The Vampire Diary , which ensures that even the most dedicated fans will find their allegiance test.
When Elena falls into a triangle with Damon and Stefan, both brothers have their own meaningful relationships outside of this dynamic – Stefan and Caroline has beautiful things, Damon and Katherine are electric.
Personally, I’m a Damon girl and delena (yes, I typed it by mistake) is my endgame. But if Elena ended Stefan, I wouldn’t Angry.
There is something convincing in every major pair in the Vampire Diary, and even if we have our favorites, it’s hard to really hate any of them.

Now, arrows…arrows are where my shipping frustration feels to new heights.
I wanted Oliver Queen and Laurel Lance got the comic love story. Instead, the show put Felicity Smoak into the mix, while fanaticism was in the battle.
We find that even before we meet these characters, Oliver has burned his relationship with Laurel by sleeping with her elder sister. Enter Sara Lance and is doomed to fail even before it begins.
Laurel is my favorite character, the way she is treated by brutal. She lost her love, lost her life, and was replaced by her own alternative version. (More than once, if I remember correctly.)
Arrow transport war is cruel. Laurel fans and Felicity fans too no Good mix, toxicity is Real.

One of the most surprising transport wars I’ve ever seen comes from the heart of everything. Who knows that Hallmark fans will be so intense?
Over the years, we watched Elizabeth spend a love triangle with Nathan and Lucas. I’m the Lucas team firm – probably because he’s the so-called bad boy, Hope Valley didn’t have an immediate hug. He is a kind dreamer, I am Sell.
But when Lucas seemed to win Elizabeth’s heart, the new performer pulled the carpet from under us. Suddenly, Elizabeth announced that she chose only Lucas because he was the “safe option.” Trouble?
Fans lost them mind. People vow to quit watching. (And they’re not just bluffing—the ratings are down.) The most saddest part? Almost never used Lucas since then, the magic is Leave. I dug it out, I have no regrets.

Now, my current obsession is the way to go home, which makes me question my sanity again.
On paper, Kat and Elliot are dream pairings of “childhood friends.” He has been for her for decades, and now they finally get the chance. But then Kate started a long time until 1814, and met Thomas Coyle, and suddenly, fire. spark. Chemical.
Fanatic is Split.
The Facebook group is in chaos. Kalliot Actual Sparks are with Thomas.
How did I get here?
how imaginary relation television Inspire such a strong emotion? Why do I sit here, passionately advocating on it like my personal happiness?

I hate it. But, I like it.
Because no matter how frustrating the transportation culture is, it also proves that TV still has the power to make us Feel something. I wouldn’t put emotions into another fictional couple for all the time I swear, and I know I definitely would.
When it inevitably happens, I will come back here and scream into the blank space.
