Olivier Chastan’s acquisitions company Iconoclast has reached an agreement for the rights to American actor and musician David Cassidy.
The company noted on Tuesday (October 8) that Cassidy’s performance as Keith Partridge in the 1970s on “The Partridge Family” “made him a teen idol like never before.”
Iconoclast said it had acquired Cassidy’s publishing catalogue, sound recordings and name, image and likeness (NIL) rights. Sources told MBW the deal is worth more than $10 million.
Iconoclast notes that Cassidy’s hit singles include i think i love you “topped charts around the world” and he “became the voice of a generation, selling millions of records and inspiring a level of cult following that earned him a place in pop culture history and paved the way for multimedia stardom ”.
The company added that “Cassidy’s fan club membership at one point exceeded that of Elvis Presley and The Beatles combined, and his concerts have been held at Madison Square Garden, the Houston Astrodome and Wembley. Stadiums and other venues attracted full crowds.”
Before his death in 2017, Cassidy’s career continued with hits in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s with albums released in 2001 past and present Go platinum.
Cassidy has also been active on screen and stage, playing roles in television, movies, Broadway, and several stage productions in Las Vegas.

Iconoclast founder Olivier Chastan is a veteran music executive who served as CEO of Irving Azoff’s Iconic Artists Group.
Chastan founded Iconoclast in late 2021 when he purchased Robbie Robertson’s music publishing rights and NIL (name, image and likeness) rights, as well as his recorded music interests, covering his career to date.
In March, Iconoclast reached an agreement to purchase the catalog of music assets of legendary singer and artist Tony Bennett.
