Idris Elba ready to help power master of the universe Amazon MGM Studios.
Elba is in final negotiations to play Duncan, aka Armed Warrior, in the live-action film adaptation of the popular Mattel toy line. Travis Knight is directing the film, which stars Nicholas Galizin as He-Man, Camila Mendes as Teela and Alison Brie as Evil Lynn.
this master of the universe The film is produced by Escape Artists and Mattel Films and will be released on June 5, 2026.
Knight is directing the project from a script by Chris Butler. The first draft of the script was written by David Callaham, Aaron Nee, and Adam Nee.
Mattel launched the Masters of the Universe series, launching a line of action figures in 1982. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe First launched in syndication, video games and other merchandise followed.
Elba voices Knuckles again in Paramount Pictures film Sonic the Hedgehog 3due out next month, he also voices characters in the Paramount+ series Knuckles. His upcoming projects include an action comedy from Amazon-MGM Studios head of state With John Cena and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
