IDW is about to go dark. The independent publisher is partnering with Paramount to bring some of the studio’s properties into comic books through a new imprint called IDW Dark.
The stories will be set in the world of hit series such as quiet place, Smile, twilight saga, Sleepy Hollow and event horizon. The imprint will also include sequels to IDW games such as 30 days of nights and Under the tree where no one can see.
The creative team and other details will be announced at another date, but books are expected to begin rolling out in 2025.
The move comes courtesy of Parker Finn smile 2 The sequel to the $117.4 million blockbuster hit hits theaters today. as follows: A Quiet Place: Day OneBow, earlier this year, expanded the series beyond John Krasinski’s two films.
Maggie Howell, team editor at IDW, said: “IDW has been working hard for 25 years as the top publisher of horror comics, and this imprint is our way of doubling down on our efforts.” She added, “These are the dreams of talented people. Projects and editors, we are all committed to doing our best in expanding these worlds.”
