For fans of the 9-1-1 series, it’s a mixed feeling.
So much is happening now and our collective leader is spinning. For some Asinine reasons, Athena on 9-1-1: Lone Star Falls in Flame (and Radiation) Doctor Odyssey in Moonlight, we find that the latest derivatives don’t amaze us, but happen in Nashville.
Yee-Haw, Hee-Haw and all the fun stuff, but the last two points are still frustrating despite the Mother’s series seemingly performing well enough to even thrive until it needs to reach out to Dr. Odyssey.
We’ve been wary of 9-1-1: Nashville’s location
After they delivered one of the most disappointing, unsatisfactory final seasons over a considerable period of time, we hardly buried 9-1-1: The Lone Star.
Fans can’t even collectively mourn the series, let alone the potential, and then they launch another spin-off to us, as if we should be content with the exact same formula in a brand new city to relieve our tired hearts.
We have been alert to the latest location.
Yes, Nashville is completely different from the city in Austin, Texas, and has its own resonance.
But, honestly: If they want to distance themselves from their recent derivatives soon after their frustrating demise, the best route is to turn things into a completely different climate and atmosphere.
There is no shadow in the City of Music, but did you know it would be exciting? 9-1-1: Denver or Boston, Detroit, Portland, Hell, Juno, I don’t know!
After visiting another southern state with a similar climate, it would be a refreshing change of speed, almost inviting the exact same emergency calls and situations.
Chris O’Donnell’s casting the same part is exciting and uninspired
Are they allergic to the East Coast or are they colder climates? I would like to know when asking about my thoughts.
But, despite 9-1-1: Nashville is its own entity and is completely different from Lone Star, everything we see and hear is completely different, but all of this feels like the same.
The latest actor news has been lost, and with it comes the protagonist of 9-1-1: Nashville.
NCIS: LA’s die-hard lovers are ecstatic, and it’s news that experienced actor Chris O’Donnell will once again play his first leadership role on TV since he signed as the mysterious G. Callen.
And, hey, Chris O’Donnell is not wrong. As a fan of this man’s work, I believe he is a reliable choice for such a series and it’s great to see him on the screen again!
On paper, casting choose what should be done. But it also has no inspiration when trying to differentiate this new series from 9-1-1: The Lone Star.
As a vote of confidence, it might be nice if the series chooses a female captain, instead distinguishing itself from the other two shows in the franchise.
A traditionally attractive middle-aged white man, secretly as a leader is essentially a comfort food for a series like this, now a staple in every show in the franchise.
9-1-1: Nashville has played close to 9-1-1: Lone Star rubs salt in the wound
But this is not particularly groundbreaking, and it doesn’t help distinguish this series from Lone Star or the original version, which is frustrating in itself.
I say the greatest respect and love for Chris O’Donnell, who will smash this character, is of course the highest point in all of them.
It’s a safe choice, with a talented, well-known, well-established and established star like him all surfaced. That’s how the business works, which means they can get some freedom with other ensembles.
As a result, people want them to play with the characters, but as far as we know Captain Don Sharpe (9-1-1: Nashville has all drawn too much from other shows on the team.
He is a rodeo performer, exciting but also reminiscent of Judd Ryder, where he is a “devoted husband and family.”
Given how Judd Ryder’s ending ends, it’s a painful place to introduce the next big couple in a way similar to how Ryders left before Grace Ryder left in this abominable way.
Irving also borrowed something from Judd, and it didn’t feel like it was borrowed from Judd at all.
The father and son’s tear is particularly shocking
Don Sharpe will also run the busiest fire station in Nashville with his son.
Likewise, father-son dynamics seem to be a franchise staple because the initial 9-1-1 often gets along with this relationship with Bobby and Buck, which makes us very happy.
But, from back and forth, up and down nature, 9-1-1: Lone Star dealt with the Stranders on the series, why 9-1-1: Nashville immediately sneaked into the center of another father/son’s storytelling?
We keep rest assured that this new spin-off is not just an old adaptation ready for ABC, but then we get too many instances of this upcoming version aligned with Lone Star.
If they absolutely stick to the father’s dynamics at the center of the new spin-off, Don would run a fire station with his kids, would it be better if they switched at least genders?
Why not dynamic father/daughter, so we won’t draw parallel lines between Sharp and the chain right away (good, even the names seem too similar)?
Do they just heat up 9-1-1: Lone Star and pour it into Nashville hot sauce?

9-1-1: Nashville just put all the same prototypes from the last derivative into the blender to produce “new things,” or have the chance that over time they will really carve something unique to themselves?
We know there is almost no outbreak and we may jump into the gun.
Ultimately, we only know what it will be like unless we see the final product in action.
But given that many viewers are still raising opinions for the loss of 9-1-1: Lone Star, no time to deal with any time before any new derivatives, so far few distinctive features are pushed into their faces, which will take a minute to resolve.
Currently, it feels like we traded with a reliable, reliable 9-1-1: Lone Star, for the younger, possibly more flickering version.
Chris O’Donnell hangs a loyal and pious fan base that distracts our 9-1-1: The Loneliness of Celebrity Frustration in front of us?
