iHeartRadio stations play Christmas music during the holidays

It’s officially the season, which means it’s time for holiday songs to hit the radio!

iHeartMedia announced that its annual Holiday Music Station Flip kicked off on Friday (November 15), with more than 85 stations across the country playing modern holiday hits and Christmas favorites from Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and more throughout the day Classic songs.

“Year after year, as Christmas approaches, listeners turn to our stations as the holiday music destination, anticipating the return of their favorite songs, from timeless classics like “Rock the Christmas Tree” to Mariah Carey “Listeners across the country are really starting to rely on our stations to kick off the season with these songs,” iHeartMedia Chief Programmer Tom Poleman said in a press statement. It’s nostalgic to hear this music in their spirit and evoke their memories, which is what makes this holiday special so special because it’s their favorite artists sharing their personal holiday memories with their fans. The most wonderful time of the year!

To continue the holiday celebrations, iHeartRadio holiday specials are returning this year. The annual event will be hosted by Mario Lopez and feature interviews with stars like Dan + Shay, Jennifer Hudson, Jimmy Fallon, Kelly Clarkson and more, discussing their favorite holiday songs and traditions.

The special will air on iHeartMedia stations and the iHeartRadio app nationwide on November 27 at 7pm local time.
