J. Cole is bringing you back, man, because he’s doing a great job. Cole surprises fans with release of his debut mixtape Appear It debuts on the streaming service on Tuesday (November 19).
Hosted by DJ OnPoint, Comes Mixtape, Vol. 1 Launched in May 2007, it didn’t debut on DSP until Tuesday. There are 17 tracks on the project, including early Cole World fan favorites like “School Daze,” “Simba” and “Dollar and a Dream.”
The move has fans excited and has die-hard Dreamville fans wondering if Cole plans to bring in all of his beloved mixtape recordings – which feature names like friday night lights and warm up – will eventually be available for streaming in the coming weeks.
There may be some truth to the fan theory, as J. Cole reflected on his illustrious career after releasing his work. inevitable audio series that will take fans on an audio journey, Cole will release 2014 Forest Hills Boulevard.
The 10-episode series is hosted by Cole and his right-hand man Ibrahim “Ib” Hamad, who Cole considers to be more of a “conversation-style movie” as they reveal the Unheard stories from North Carolina rap legends.

“If you’ve rocked with me at any point in my journey, I hope this will give you more perspective and fill in a lot of blanks,” Cole wrote when announcing the series. “If you have a life dream in any field that you want to achieve, I hope this nourishes your spirit, gives you the confidence to believe in that dream, and encourages you to get through the tough times. Even though you may be afraid, keep going.
