DC Studio Head James Gunn Recently talked about what makes his DC studio different from other studios Kevin FeigeMarvel Studios.
Working closely with Marvel Studios for many years Guardians of the Galaxy Through movies, Gunn learned a lot about how a big studio like this works, and after this experience, he planned to run things differently.
Gunn saw some things that didn’t fit with Marvel and cut them from DC. He just wants to take his own approach to things, which will help eliminate Marvel’s habit of…fixing their movies and TV shows with tons of reshoots.
When asked on Threads if DC Studios would release a Marvel Universe-style trailer, Gunn responded: “It won’t be like Marvel because nothing is greenlit until we finish the script.”
Now, I understand. But, at the same time, Gunn seems to be contradicting himself, as DC Studios announced 10 film and TV projects as part of its “Chapter One: Gods and Monsters” slate.
We know about projects like this brave and bold and paradise lost The script is still far from finished.
However, Gunn has previously said there is a difference between these announced and approved projects, so just because the projects have been announced does not mean they have been approved. Hell, there’s always the chance that some movies won’t get made at all.
When this news came out, Warner Bros. clearly wanted to hype fans with an epic list of potential future DCU projects. We’ll likely never see an announcement like this from DC Studios again.
