James Wan and his Atomic Monster production company acquired the rights to the Game Awards-nominated indie game pacific avenue They are considering adapting it into a TV series.
pacific avenue is “a retro-punk-style driving and survival game set to an experimental electronic music soundtrack that challenges players to escape from a surreal and abandoned no-go zone, using their car as their only companion in a dark and cold world .
The creator of this game is Cassandra Delacorte The game, produced by Ironwood Studio, was nominated for Best Debut Indie Game at the 2024 Game Awards and won Best Gameplay at the 2024 BIG Festival, where it was also nominated for Best Game.
The series is not currently attached to a specific network or streaming platform. Wan and Atomic Monster’s Michael Clear and Rob Hackett will executive produce the TV adaptation of the project, along with The Menagerie Productions’ Jeff Ludwig.
Atomic Monster is also currently developing TV projects such as 1313it’s a terrifying reboot The Munstersone based on RoboCop Adapted for Amazon and live-action gargoyle For Disney+.
