Jan Dan, talented player born in Newark soundwho performed his final stand with a powerful rendition of John Mayer’s “Gravity” during a Dec. 4 live show.
Competing for the coveted Instant Save, Dan impressed the audience and judges with his soulful performance, but ultimately, it wasn’t enough to place him in the top five.

Dan is the father of newborn daughter Nori Arabella, whom he often cited as his inspiration throughout the competition. He balanced fatherhood with his pursuit of musical success, delivering standout performances including a duet with Adam Bohanan on “Roxanne,” which featured Sting himself on bass.
Mayer’s single “Gravity” had a significant impact on the Billboard charts, peaking at No. 18 on the Adult Alternative Airplay chart in 2007 and remaining there for 12 weeks. It also appeared on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart, peaking at number 20 in 2006.
