In a promo for the Season 50 premiere saturday night liveFormer actress Maya Rudolph is making her presence known.
Musical guest Jelly Roll and host Jean Smart – both on saturday night live Debuting this weekend – actor Marcello Hernandez is also on board for the new promo – but there’s another one in the works.
“You never know who’s going to show up,” Smart quipped after introducing himself and Jelly. “Did someone say ‘appear’?” Rudolph asked as she slid into the frame. “Yeah, yeah, I did say ‘show up,'” Smart admitted, to which Rudolph responded, “Oh, good. I wish someone would have said ‘show up.’ So I can show up.
“Are you okay, Maya?” the country singer/songwriter asked. “I’m not sure, Jelly,” Rudolph replied seriously.
Elsewhere in the promo, Hernandez proves that he knows the word “obvious” (and that he read at least one book this summer), while the 73-year-old hacker Star was offended when Hernandez asked about the situation saturday night live First aired 50 years ago (“Why on earth did you ask me?”).
After this weekend’s episode of Jelly and Jean, saturday night live The Season 50 lineup continues on October 5 with comedian Nate Bargatze as host and Coldplay as musical guests; followed by a show on October 12 with Ariana Grande as host and Stevie Nicks as performer; , Michael Keaton will serve as musical guest along with Billie Eilish on October 19; on November 2, John Mulaney will host, Chappelle ·Chappell Roan will perform for the first time.
