John Krasinski has been a staple of the small screen for decades.
But we’re used to seeing him play unassuming good guys like Jim Halpert, or heroic bad guys like Jack Ryan.
Now, it looks like we’re about to get a very different look at the 2024 Sexiest Man Alive.
According to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter , Krasinski has signed on to film a new serial killer drama for Prime Video alongside The Americans and Perry Mason star Matthew Rhys.
The two actors will also serve as executive producers on Silent River, which does not yet have a release date.
The details of their characters aren’t known yet, but we do know that Krasinski and Reese “will play two men whose lives are more connected than they realize.”
“We are excited to continue our partnership with John Krasinski, Allyson Seeger and Sunday Night collaborates on this gripping series that delves into the mysteries and secrets of small-town America.
“John Rhys and Matthew Rhys star in Aaron Rabin’s captivating story, and our global customers will be on the edge of their seats in this thought-provoking psychological thriller.”
Both stars have recently been starring in roles, with Reese most recently winning praise for his role as George Carlin on “Saturday Night.”
In addition to receiving People magazine’s sexiest honor, Krasinski has been absolutely stunning behind the camera lately.
He most recently directed the children’s film IF, and the Quiet World series, which he conceived in 2018, shows no signs of slowing down.
In the past, Krasinski has been accused of being too cautious in his acting choices.
So hopefully he can indulge his dark side in this matter and give up his good guy image for a while.
Although we wouldn’t mind if he gave the camera a quick glance like Jim Halpert – just for old times’ sake.
