Keira Knightley She has had a solid career with a number of successful films that have earned her critical acclaim from fans, studios, and the academy alike.
But personally, some of her most lucrative and marketable film experiences have also been her worst, so she has a preference for the types of projects she’s currently willing to sign on to.
In a recent interview with The Times of London, Knightley said: “It’s a funny thing when you have something that makes you and something that breaks you at the same time.
“I was treated like a boo because of them, but because they did such a good job, I had the opportunity to make those movies for which I ended up being nominated for an Oscar. [Pride & Prejudice and The Imitation Game].
“They were the most successful films I’d ever been in, and they were the reason I was publicly disparaged. So they were a very messy place in my mind.
Knightley appears in top three Pirates of the Caribbean Started acting in movies in 2003. Curse of the Black Pearl, dead man’s box (2006) and at the end of the world (2007), starring opposite Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp. As a result, Knightley said she won’t return to the intense schedule and demands of a sequel.
“Time is crazy. It’s the years of your life where you can’t control where you shoot, how long you shoot, what you shoot,” she explains.
Elsewhere in the interview, Bend like Beckham and true love The star discussed her complicated and painful relationship with fame, especially as a young woman in Hollywood at a time when topics around mental health and body image weren’t taken seriously.
“I know I’m not,” she said, referring to tabloid speculation that she suffers from an eating disorder. “I know I was eating…in typical traumatic fashion I don’t remember.
“It’s been completely deleted, and then something will come up and I’ll suddenly have a very strong memory of it, because ultimately, it’s public humiliation, isn’t it? Considering I was so young when it happened, it’s obviously psychological for me. Part of it. I was born around it.
