“Joyride” is Kesha’s first single to be released on her own label, Kesha Records, following the settlement of a defamation lawsuit filed by Dr. Luke in 2023, several years before the singer filed against the producer in 2014 A lawsuit was filed alleging physical, sexual and emotional abuse; Dr. Luke denied all accusations.
