Kesha is back with her fifth studio album, ‘Gag Order’. She sits down with Zane Lowe to break down her experience making this project with Rick Rubin at Shangri-La studios in Malibu, CA.
Kesha says this album is unlike any of her others because it was made purely to express how she was feeling at the time, without consideration for radio hits or singles. She opens up about how her life experiences have shaped her music, including a spiritual experience that inspired “Eat the Acid”, a desire to dip into a ore hip-hop-infused sound with “Only Love Can Saves Us Now”, and walking a “fine line” in the public eye.
