Kesha dropped her latest single “Delusional” over the long holiday weekend, giving fans new music the same week she released her music video for “Joyride.”
Co-written by Kesha, Zhone and Madison Love and produced by Zhone, “Delusional” is now streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music and more, and is available for purchase on the iTunes Store. Preview the song below.
“I’ve been living the damn dream/My time is expensive and you’re so cheap/The way I’m single, done so obscenely/Watch me getting hotter and hotter on your cheap TV/I’m in heaven , I’m on 11/you’re like 4, but who’s keeping score?
On Wednesday, Kesha teased the release of “Delusional” at the end of her new “Joyride” video, which may kick off a high-speed ride into the next chapter of her career.
“Joyride” premiered in July and is the first single to be released through the singer’s own Kesha Records.
Kesha’s independent label has a global distribution agreement with ADA, giving her full control over her work and her own creative rights. ADA is also working with Kesha’s management company, Crush Music, to oversee the marketing and promotion of the pop star’s next album, expected to be released in 2025. The album is my narrative and rewrite of my story in the music industry.
The launch of Kesha’s record label and her new releases follow the settlement of a defamation lawsuit filed by Dr. Luke in 2023, several years after the singer filed a 2014 lawsuit against the producer for physical, sexual and emotional abuse.
