Seven years after releasing “The Cure,” Lady Gaga has finally been diagnosed with the disease.
After some sly teasing via Spotify playlists and two custom websites, Gaga finally confirmed the single’s release date via Instagram on Monday (October 21). In the post, the Grammy and Oscar winner shared the single’s cover art, which features her standing face down on the hood of a white car with the song’s title written upside down in street paint. The next day (October 22), she shared a brief trailer for what appears to be the song’s official music video, set to haunting piano keys. “I can play doctor/I can cure your disease/If you’re a sinner/I can make you believe,” she croons on the chorus of the lead single from her eighth solo studio album.
