Netflix shares clips from Legendary Television and Crystal Dynamics’ upcoming animated series Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft. In this clip, Lara Croft and Jonah Maiava (a major character in the recent video game trilogy) are on one of their quests.
This series looks interesting, but the more I see from it, the worse the animation looks. I know they were trying to make this a full animated movie, but it’s pretty sub-par production.
Hayley Atwell (Captain America: The First Avenger, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1) stars in the show and voices Lara Croft.
The series takes place after the events of the video game reboot trilogy. “Lara Croft, one of the video game industry’s most iconic adventurers, makes her animated debut in a new series.
“Continuing the events of the highly successful Tomb Raider video game reboot trilogy, this animated series will chart the latest and greatest adventures of the world-traveling heroine. After the release of her first game Twenty-five years later, Laura continues to explore new territory.
The animation is written and executive produced by Tasha Huo. Demetri Johnson, Stephen Bugaj, Howard Blissand Jacob Robinson will also oversee the series as a producer.
The show will premiere on Netflix on October 10th.
