If you’re wondering why we didn’t see Levi Schreiber Playing Sabertooth Tiger Again Deadpool and Wolverinethis is actually all because he does not want to exercise and return to the best physical condition for this role.
In an interview with Collider, the actor was asked why he returned to play this classic Marvel character, and his answer was:
“Honestly, it takes a lot of work to get your body to that point. I know I’ve seen Hugh [Jackman] Getting ready again, I thought, ‘I can sit on the sidelines.
It’s not easy to keep your body in optimal condition! It was hard training and discipline, but he was not up to the task.
However, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t appreciate the fans and their support and hopes to see him return as Sabretooth, calling it “awesome.”
Schreiber continued, “I can’t tell you what it feels like when people think about what you did and are so grateful for what you did and want you to do it again. I’m amazed that people are excited about me being in the new Deadpool movie.
I wonder if the whole Sabretooth aspect of the movie would have been different if Schreiber had signed on. The movie features a much-hyped saber-toothed tiger battle, but it goes as quickly as it comes. I wonder if they would put more focus into the character and his storyline if Schreiber came back.
I guess we’ll never know.
