Somehow, I managed to miss this young train when I first aired on TV.
Maybe I was under a rock, or something that caught my attention in its heyday. Unfortunately, Sutton Foster fills my heart in the miserably cancelled Bunheads.
Anyway, the youngsters have been streaming on Netflix, and all it took was Hilary Duff’s smile and a dull afternoon I’m going to hit Play.
It’s funny, quirky, and reminds me of a person who really thinks our millennials are “it” stuff and chasing our interests, tastes, and dollars is actually a priority.
I must have been on that side as well, because all I remember is a thousand different thoughts about how we ruined everything in some way, but it was another day’s discussion.
The ridiculous premise of young people is an incredible premise
When young people made their Gasp debut ten years ago, the world was a different place, with the idea of a 40-year-old woman who could somehow give herself to herself as a 26-year-old. More reasonable.
Not now. The most incredible part of the series is that no one thinks the gorgeous Sutton Foster looks like a beautiful woman of her age.
The concept seems to be stretchy, but the youth is what makes me escapist fun. Now, nearly two seasons have entered this ridiculous fun series, and I am so happy.
But I was also very frustrated.
I assume this is one of the series “Ship” to Supreme, and I can already feel the super hot, kindness and art of the triangle brew between Josh and her boss’ charming Charles.
Damn it, if young people don’t like my catnip on the boat, please attract some of my favorite types and metaphors. Both guys ticked different boxes for me, so your girl is on the boat.
Sexy middle-aged woman discovering herself (and hot young guy, sexy era)? Yes, please!

I’m a fool in the May/December romance involving an older woman and a young man.
Suck it, society! Why do men have all the fun in that aspect?
I find this genre liberation, often leading to some storytelling about femininity, rediscovering yourself, your desires and needs, really comfortable storytelling on your own skin, and more.
That’s my content. Nothing is more attractive than a middle-aged woman who catches herself, eventually reaching a point that decades may have made her avoid her self-acceptance.
Society often has a way of getting women to put on and letting them question themselves, and then, something seems to appear at a certain age.
Ironically, it was at that age and time that society also wanted to be silent and push women aside with these false misunderstandings that they somehow lost their value.
Perhaps that’s why a young man expects sexual liberation and more confident women’s perspectives are more satisfying. But I’m off topic.
Liza and Josh
The point is that Liza and Josh are the exact type of relationship that appeals to me on paper. He is the same as Hell and Sweet, she is weird and funny.
Their chemistry is beyond the world and it’s great to see this divorcee get some hits in her life, partly because this really incredible person likes her because she likes her, her identity And what is her.
I don’t need to spend more money to ride in this relationship. Did I mention Josh’s super hot? Of course, it helps a lot.
But in the last two seasons of this series, I want to shake Lisa a little bit. Why did she like this, a young fanatic?
Liza’s selfishness works in her career, but her romanticism doesn’t
As a Liza audience, I am paradoxically, the huge opportunity to see Liza mislead everyone around her and pursue her dreams and experiences is that she finally becomes selfish.
As the wife of a bad husband in nearly two decades, she doesn’t have many opportunities to be selfish. In her position, selflessness is a way of life, and an expectation. That’s what makes you a great mother and wife, right?
Liza’s selfishness is what makes her easy to take root at work, and even if she faces challenges from her hilarious boss Diana or Martha, Martha frightens Po Plimpton’s cameo star and tried to expose Liza’s deception.
I support pasting it on systems that often devalue the age of the workplace. Liza is a selfish woman in her publishing company who hides her true identity for her own benefit? I’m doing it all!
Did Liza’s relationship with this lovely person sacrifice a lot for her? That’s where I struggle.
Josh is the book boyfriend material. Seriously, he’s a little perfect
I want to love everything about Liza and Josh together, I love it, but the only person who always kills me is Liza.
When Josh learns about his real age, divorce and that she has a daughter who is closer to Liza than Liza, he has a lot to tangle around his head.
For a short period of time, he seemed to want to be with her, but was deceptive, and this deception, this is my yelling hal-hal in in hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in the hal in The apartment and run to the hills.
But then, Josh quickly turned around and he essentially became Lisa’s most caring, supportive, cute, charming, perfect boyfriend. He kept reassuring her, and he cared about her no matter what.
He did not shy away from age or even her children. Hell, he was even happy to communicate with his daughter on social media. He just embraced every aspect of the relationship, and what it means to be with a 40-year-old woman.
Josh goes all out loud and proudly
Josh? He wants to live aloud. He also wants to be honest with everything.
He also seems to cause losses whenever he has to lie to her friends. He also doesn’t like people in his life.
In any case, we see how Josh succumbed to Liza’s will and adapted to her world, but she needed it.
She brought that guy to her middle-aged friend’s house in New Jersey, relaxing, and even without being furious, even without being happy, even if he should have brought Josh out of his element.
This guy brought her birthday card to her working friend and it was great for everyone in Lizza’s life because that’s exactly who he is and because he cared so much about her.
For now, I haven’t seen much reciprocity in all of this. All I’ve seen so far is Josh’s way of being accommodated, all of his allowances and his doing makes him totally uncomfortable to support her.
But Lisa rarely (if any) does the same.
Liza is so self-consuming, it’s painful (destroying romance)
Due to her own insecurity and gathering forces to bring her friends against his weapons, she thought his worst number was already terrible.
But later, she seldom insisted on him or succumbed to anything he wanted.
By far, one of the most annoying moments was when Josh wanted to talk about Liza desperately in a feature story about the tattoo business.
He was glad to be shouting from the roof that he dated her and talked about it because he was a real person and this level of deception and confidentiality was strange to him.
It was Liza who discouraged him from talking about their relationship because of her secrets and lies that would likely keep things tighter, and few people thought about how it affected him, or heard his disappointment and Frustrated that he was real, real self in an interview.
How did he talk about what was the most important thing in his life when she forced him to keep the relationship secret?
Lisa keeps throwing a not worthy Josh at the wolf, annoying
But, despite his frustration, I can logically say that if he encounters mystery and single, a young, hot business owner may have more success in the magazine feature.
However, she did not share this reason with her friends to justify the reason he did not mention her, but allowed Kelsey and others to demean Josh and accuse him of being some kind of playboy who hides Liza.
It was the last thing he wanted to do, and he had to suffer the anger of Lisa’s friends because he only agreed to do to protect Lisa and her secret, including making them riot him with the same person .
Watching Lisa standing there, listening to her friends denounce a person she claimed she cared about because she told him what to do and didn’t even try to defend him – probably my last straw.
How can I continue to cheer for this steaming love affair when Josh suffers, and when Liza gets in the way of her?
Josh supports Lisa, defends her, lies for her, embraces her, accepts everything about her, compromises for her, takes pride in being with her, and truly loves her.
And zero reciprocity. What should a girl have to do with that girl?
Liza groped in Jake to hell, killing my shipper resonance in the process.
