The NCIS franchise is expanding exponentially.
You might think that after more than 20 years of airing, it will run out of the story.
But while NCIS: Hawaii, NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: New Orleans ended their run, we had the mothership, NCIS: Origins: Origins, NCIS: Sydney and the upcoming NCIS and the upcoming NCIS: Tony & Ziva.

In short, given the recent obstacles the entertainment industry faces, it is alive than it was a few years ago.
Now, with the news that LL Cool J is reappearing with Agent Sam Hanna, it’s hard to be too excited given the countless appearances of the character in the wider franchise.

He spent 14 seasons in NCIS: Los Angeles and has appeared on the mothership.
Then there was his 12-episode arc last season at NCIS: Hawaii, which earned valuable screen real estate from other actors.
Sam has returned to the NCIS universe many times
Of course, I like the mystery of Sam’s existence in Hawaii, but what do I think about NCIS: Hawaii is cancelled without such goodbye?
Sam even had a satisfying farewell when the spin-off, and everything for all the characters was put on hold.

Surprisingly, he will appear in the upcoming original series because what else does it have to do with the characters?
I’m more interested in watching LL Cool J focus on new characters. His NCIS: LA co-star Chris O’Donnell just booked 9-1-1: Nashville.
Despite fears this will be a 9-1-1 reheat: Lone Star, I can’t wait to see Chris take on a new role.
Maybe they will all share the screen again in the new 9-1-1 series, because there is no doubt that cameo is possible, away from the NCIS universe.

NCIS has such a rich character tapestry that producers should dig out vaults to bring back people we have never heard of in years.
Pauley Perrette would be a good choice as I have never seen Abby Sciuto in years.
Abby Sciuto should make a comeback
Given her issues with Mark Harmon, it seems almost impossible for her to return in any capacity, but Mark is no longer on the show.
Remember the surprise that Ziva (Cote de Pablo) reappeared? It never seemed possible, but the show and CBS went all out to produce meaningful arcs.

Without it, we will have no NCIS: Tony & Ziva, so I appreciate it.
Given that the broadcast network is struggling for viewers, you think CBS will ask creatives to lure the traditional characters that audiences want to see because they haven’t appeared in a long time.
I don’t know what Sam’s future is, if there is potential to gradually derivate, but when he returned to screen last season, I couldn’t join him in his return.
Well, I’ve already said my work, NCIS fanatic! Now, it’s yours.

What do you think of LL Cool J’s comeback? Do you think the character has been overexposed in recent years, or do you think Sam still has some potential?
Which traditional actor do you want to return to, even if it’s just a brief cameo?
