minecraft Players can now enjoy licensed music through Lunar FM, a new in-game radio service developed by Lunar Client in partnership with music licensing platform STYNGR.

Users can access radio stations, control playback and view current track information via a dedicated in-game radio module.
Currently, some stations are only available to premium users. Moon FM Premium subscriptions are available for $4.99 Every month, offer ad-free listening, unlimited song skipping, and exclusive in-game headphone cosmetics. A free, ad-supported version is planned to launch in early 2025 and will provide access to all stations.

STYNGR is a platform that provides pre-cleared music for games and metaverses. In 2022, it will be Warner Music Groupwhich allows record labels to offer game developers access to pre-licensed tracks from portions of the company’s music catalog.

Lunar Client describes itself as the “first” Minecraft mod client, supporting over 75 modifications. It integrates radio services across Windows, MacOS and Linux platforms.
The service currently supports multiple radio stations, and users can select and change tracks through the launcher. Lunar Client hints that additional features, including group listening and music-related emotes, are planned for future updates.
