Grammy-nominated Italian rock band Måneskin sits down with Zane Lowe ahead of the release of their third studio album, ‘RUSH!’.
Vocalist Damiano David, bassist Victoria De Angelis, guitarist Thomas Raggi, and drummer Ethan Torchio rose to prominence on X Factor, then went on to win the Eurovision Song Contest in 2021.
Now, they’re nominated for Best New Artist at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards.
The band tells Zane about the process of creating their new album, for which they created over 60 songs and then painstakingly selected which titles made the final track-list. The group explains how ‘RUSH!’ was inspired by American rock legend Elvis Presley and how they think about their own unique musical style. The group also talks about staying level-headed as their notoriety grows, and renovating the boundaries and expectations of artists to preserve their own mental health and ability to create.
