Mark Ronson, Cat Burns and Jake Bugg have been named performers at this year’s Music Industry Trust Awards (MITS), honoring Jason Iley MBE, chairman and chief executive of Sony Music UK and Ireland.
The 32nd annual awards ceremony will be held on Monday 4 November at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

Iley has been chairman of Sony Music UK for 10 years, the longest-serving chairman in the company’s history. MITS notes that since taking over, Alley has “diversified the company, refreshed Sony Music’s lineup and led acquisitions in 2016 including Ministry of Sound Records.”
Today, Alley manages a roster that includes homegrown talent such as Calvin Harris/Paloma Faith/Mark Ronson/George Ezra/Robbie Williams/Rag’n’Bone manand this year’s Breakthrough Artist Center CYes and Myles Smithas well as internationally signed stars like Beyoncé, Adele, Harry Styles, Miley Cyrus, SZA, P!NK, and Spitfire.
Iley will join the ranks of previous MITS winners, including Anne Lennox OBE, Kylie Minogue, Rob Stringer CBE, Emma Banks, Sir Elton John and Bernie Taupin, Sir Lucian Grange, Michael Eavis CBE, Pete Tong MBE, Roger Daltrey CBE, Jamal Edwards MBEand last year’s winner, Live Music Agent Lucy Dickins.
