It’s been almost a year since we last saw Alexandra Daddario as Rowan Fielding in Mayfair Witches , but season two is almost here.
Season 1 of Mayfair Witches ended with some explosive moments, from the reveal of Rowan’s father’s identity to the birth of Rowan’s child, culminating in the powerful line “You can’t control me,” which ties everything to Rowan The character resonated.
This exciting story will continue in Mayfair Witches Season 2 as we follow Rowan and Rashel (Jack Huston) on their next journey, which will also become one in the books story.
That is, is it similar to the second book in the Anne Rice series.
There are also some new faces joining the cast, so let’s dig in and see what season two has in store for us.
Who is the cast of Mayfair Witches Season 2?
There are some faces we can definitely expect to return in Mayfair Season 2, including Alexander Daddario as Rowan Fielding and Jack Huston as Whiplash.
Other faces expected to return include Tongayi Chirisa as Ciprien and Harry Hamlin as Cortland Mayfair.
In addition to familiar faces, at least three new faces are joining the cast as guest stars and recurring roles.
Alyssa Jirrels will join as Moira Mayfair, Rowan’s cousin and Tessa’s sister. Moira is also a mind reader. You can bet she wasn’t happy with what happened to Tessa in season one.
New cast members joining Girel include Thora Birch as Gifford Mayfield and Ted Levine as Julian Mayfield.
Gifford is a tarot card reader who spends a lot of time at her lake house, while Julian is Cortland’s father and a master manipulator.
Girelles will have a recurring role in season two, while Levine and Burch will guest star throughout the season.
What is the plot of Mayfair Witches Season 2?
Season 1 strayed away from many of the original plot points of Anne Rice’s Mayfair series, so it’s difficult to say exactly what will happen in season 2.
In the novel series, Rowan travels to Europe with Raschel, who embodies himself as Rowan’s newborn grows into an adult.
Women in Mayfair are dying from mysterious hemorrhages, and Rowan is suffering from a strange genetic anomaly.
While Rowan is still learning about himself, Rasher is trying to create more versions of himself, though he’s largely unsuccessful.
We’re not sure what aspects will stay the same and what will change in season two.
But series producers Esta Spalding and Michelle Ashford revealed what was coming to Entertainment Weekly last year.
Spalding joked that they “only have so many episodes” but that they would “dig” the book “for the wonder and the riches and the weirdness in it.”
Spalding added, “There’s a whole section of the book where Rowan is in Europe, and there’s stuff in Scotland, and there’s many generations in Scotland.”
“Of course we talked about Scotland this season, but it’s really exciting to think about a second season,” Spalding continued.
When is the premiere date for Mayfair Witches Season 2?
We finally have a premiere date for Mayfair Witches Season 2!
Fans originally expected the second season to premiere in late 2024.
But the good news is that the show will be back in early 2025!
During a panel at New York Comic Con on October 17, it was announced that Mayfair Witches Season 2 will premiere on January 5.
This is exactly two years after the first season was released on January 8, 2023.
Of course, the show and the network can’t be blamed, as a writers’ and actors’ strike almost delayed production plans into 2024.
Due to the long wait, fans are hoping that the Comic-Con panel will provide more information about the second season.
But hey, the premiere date is enough for now.
How many episodes are there in Mayfair Witches Season 2?
There’s no official word yet on how many episodes Mayfair Witches Season 2 will have, but Season 1 had eight episodes, so Season 2 will likely have a similar number.
Most new episodes are around eight episodes long, so we expect Mayfair Witches season 2 to be around eight episodes too.
Is there a trailer for Mayfair Witches Season 2?
It’s too early to release a trailer, but we hope to release it soon!
With the release date for season 2 already announced, we’ll soon be seeing a trailer for the much-anticipated thriller.
Where can I watch Mayfair Witches Season 2?
Like Season 1, Season 2 will also air on AMC and AMC+. We’ll probably see one episode per week like last season, although that’s not certain yet.
Now, we can relive the hit series’ first season on AMC+’s streaming service and relive our favorite (or least favorite) memories from Mayfair Season 1.
After all, who wouldn’t want to relive those cherished dance scenes in the never-ending house? Well, it could be Rowan, but we can’t be sure.
We are excited for the future of this exciting AMC+ series.
