See movie adaptation in 2025 Mickey 7. Production Mickey 17and some Mickey on hand, which is fun but ultimately disappointing. No original material read; written by Edward Ashton, I’m not sure. So I can’t say if this book is better than a movie.
I do know that after seeing the trailer in the cinema, I’m looking forward to more. Or at least, the movie is slightly different from ours.
Bong Joon Ho Instructs and Adapts Mickey 17 Ashton’s script. Don’t get me wrong. This movie is good and I did kick out of it. But that’s not what I think.
story
Mickey Barnes is desperate to leave Earth. A Loan Shark is following him and his best partner Timo. He signed a “expendable” expedition. After 16 years old life, Mickey has to stand up for the right thing. He is about to change his future and his life.
Main actor
Robert Pattinson is Mickey Barnes.
Steven Yeun is Timo.
Cameron Britton is Arkady.
Naomi Ackie is Nasha.
Mark Ruffalo is Kenneth Marshal.
Toni Collette is YLFA.
Mickey 17 bts
Behind the scenes of Mickey 17, we have; as mentioned above, Bong Joon Ho writes and directs. He curated the film with DP Darius Khondji, editor Jinmo Yang and composer Jung Jae-Il.
This quartet works well together. Soundtrack, frame; it’s really cracking, the scene is very suitable.
VFX works with FX. The creatures found on Earth remind people of wool animals (?) Wrinkles of time. *This book, not a movie. I haven’t seen anything yet. *
Death scene in Mickey 17don’t live up to what is promised in the trailer. Again, it’s marketing’s fault, not the filmmaker’s fault.
What works*, what confuses people *
Robert Pattinson is Steve Buscemi’s best voice, and it is the most unfortunate space explorer in the world. He tells it in this tone, and it makes the mood very good.
However:
When he meets his own new version of Mickey 18, the sound is different. This is a little confusing and never explained. Why is his voice deeper and rougher? Presumably, all the other Mickeys sound like Buscemi.
Mark Ruffalo is excellent, like bombing, self-driven and abundant space explorers. It might be just me, but I do feel a little similar to Donald Trump. YLFA is his wife, although not like the first lady. *Maybe it’s the appearance. But not behavior. Although it is difficult to tell minimally with Mrs. Trump’s public appearance.
Pattinson’s character is interesting, but loses any attractive traits. This made him confused by the opposite sex. Mickey 17 has many women chasing him.
Cameron Britton kills Akady. Steven Yeun is great as a strong best friend.
judgment
Mickey 17 Earn 4 stars. It could have gone into the 4.5, but due to a disappointing lapse between the trailer and the movie. I do want to say that even with good seniors discounts, I’m glad it’s played at home.
