Mk.gee performs ‘Alesis’ and ‘Rockman’ on debut

Mk.gee brings a touch of mystery to Studio 8H saturday night live The musical guest debuts on November 9th.

The enigmatic 28-year-old multi-instrumentalist performed his songs “Alesis” and “Rockman” on the long-running sketch comedy show hosted by comedian Bill Burr.

In the first performance of the night, Mk.gee (real name Mike Gordon) took the stage under dim lights to perform the haunting “Alesis” from his 2024 debut album, Two stars and dream police. In this episode, he returns with musicians Zack Sekoff and Andrew Aged for a powerful performance of Mega Man.

Currently, Mk.gee is on a world tour and will head to Australia in December. He also recently revealed that he’s been in the studio working on Justin Bieber’s upcoming album.

saturday night live Set to return on November 16, pop star Charli XCX will do double duty as host and musical guest. Although boy Hitmaker has been the musical guest twice before and this will be her first time hosting the show.

saturday night live There’s no doubt that Charli has been in the spotlight, especially during her boy era. In the season premiere, actor Bowen Yang even dressed up as Charlie in drag, playing the pop star in a sketch hosting his own show talk show.

Even Charlie himself was impressed by the sketch. The singer said in an interview with Howard Stern that she thought Young “did a great job” playing her. “I think saturday night live It’s iconic,” she said. “We had a feeling it was coming, so we’re really excited about it. I love Bowen…I’m really impressed with the texture of the hair. I think it’s a great wig. It’s nice, Very cool.
