The Music Sustainability Alliance announced on Friday (January 17) that its Music Sustainability Summit will be postponed due to the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles.
The event, originally scheduled for February 3, will now take place on April 16 at Solotech Studios in Los Angeles, where it was originally scheduled to take place. The schedule for April events will be announced in the coming months. Those who have already registered for the February event will be able to register in April.
The Music Sustainability Alliance will host a one-hour virtual forum focusing on the Los Angeles wildfires on February 3, in place of the original event. Registration for the free event is now open. Speakers for the virtual forum will include artists, climate scientists and activists, with a list to be announced in the coming weeks.

Amy Morrisonco-founder/CEO of the Los Angeles Music Sustainability Alliance. “This is a moment to come together and showcase the many ways the music industry is responding to this disaster.”
The April event will take place between the two weekends of Coachella and will mark the second annual summit. The conference will focus on solutions to the impact of climate change on the music industry and provide peer learning opportunities, keynotes, panel discussions, breakout sessions and more.
Last year’s inaugural summit was attended by more than 300 people from the music industry, with a day of panel discussions focusing on the impact of climate change on their businesses.
