Artificial intelligence training content licensing and attribution company Musical AI is partnering with Beatoven.ai to create what they call “the first fully licensed, copyright holder compensated, generative artificial intelligence platform” for copyrighted music and Other audios for training.
The collaborative project between Musical AI and Beatoven.ai will launch in the second half of 2025 and aims to “ensure that copyright holders are compensated for every use of their tracks.”
The platform will be built on Beatoven.ai’s technology and will serve more than 3 million Songs, loops, samples and sounds. Musical AI will provide licensing of material, attribution of generated output, and payments to rights holders.
Musical AI will offer the tool exclusively to enterprise customers as a white label service.
The partners note that the generator will be “fully legal and licensed.” Rights holders will receive a revenue share based on model usage.

Musical AI and Beatoven.ai’s project is the latest artificial intelligence music generator that promises to be trained on licensed music. Last year, researchers at Facebook’s parent company Yuan Developed an artificial intelligence text music generator called music generator. The language model can take text cues such as “upbeat acoustic ballad” or “dance pop with a catchy melody” and convert them into new 12-second music clips.
These technologies come at a critical time for artificial intelligence technology, amid concerns about the unauthorized use of copyrighted music and the unethical use of artists’ voices for content creation.
September, echoThe German Performance Rights Collection Association and Licensing Agency have introduced a licensing model for artificial intelligence providers, seeking to address the use of copyright-protected music in artificial intelligence training and artificial intelligence-generated songwriting.
