After watching Fire Nation Season 1, Episode 10, it’s safe to say that my prediction skills will be useless on a show as unpredictable as this one.
As a viewer who can quickly pinpoint where a story is going, nothing makes me happier than something that not only exceeds my expectations but turns their minds around.
I’m halfway through the first season of Fire Nation and I can confidently say that this show has made me eat my words and I love it.
That the show can switch between edge-of-your-seat thrills and tear-jerkers so easily is a testament to the talent, hard work, and passion that went into this show.
The best thing I learned from watching Fire Nation is to sit back and enjoy the dramatic and intense ride
Right off the bat, I have to say Fire Nation Cases and Calls are the best next level extras. Each episode features one disaster worse than the next.
Also, ten episodes into Fire Nation Season 1, I noticed something particularly interesting. The worst calls Cal Fire receives have nothing to do with fires.
First, the overpass collapsed, and then there was this thrilling car crash, which was a traumatic rollercoaster for Vince and Bird.
The writers screwed up with this two-part disaster because I’m pretty sure the stress of these episodes cost me a few years of my life.
It’s amazing how much this series can squeeze into an episode or two because now this Kara character pops up and I already like her.
Of course, I only watched Fire Nation Season 1, Episode 10, and I quickly learned to just enjoy the ride and not make predictions.
There’s a lot of love for Fire Nation, and much of it seems to be directed at Baldur
Speaking of wrong predictions, I guess I’m a little premature in blaming Uncle Luke. The character doesn’t look as bad as many of the roles Michael Trucco (“The House of Usher”) usually plays.
Then again, that little exchange he had with Sharon before she asked him to leave her house felt like foreshadowing. Again, I’m not going to make any predictions, but I can feel the unrequited love bubbling up there.
This does seem to be popular as the Rebecca chick is really hot for Bode. I mean, I can’t blame the woman. Bode is hot enough to start his own wildfire.
However, I doubt there’s enough room for her in Bode’s life given all the feelings he already has for Gabriella. After the life-threatening situations they constantly save each other from, it would be weird not to.
The characters in Fire Nation can’t seem to catch a break, but the story is told so well
While all of these strong women in Bode’s life are great, there’s one in particular that I’m eager to see him get into mischief with.
Please tell me there’s a stand-alone adventure plot for Eve and Bald somewhere on the horizon. The brief exchange between the two characters is filled with the best parts of rekindling their friendship.
Also, is Aiden gone now? This is crazy after Eve literally saved her life. Then again, I prefer this independent, enterprising Eve to the lovesick Eve.
Speaking of independence, Jordan Calloway plays Jake, whose relationship with Gabs has fallen apart from the last episode I watched.
I can’t even begin to imagine all the drama and chaos this will cause, and right after, it looks like Bode and Jack are on the verge of a full-blown reconciliation.
My guess, rather than a prediction, is that Bode will have to choose between his former best friend and the woman for whom he has developed strong feelings.
So, of course, the writers introduce Bode’s old flame at the most inopportune time.
Side note, the electrical burns Kara suffered in “Get Your Hopes Up” were severe. I had no idea they could be that bad or that exit wounds were something you needed to worry about.
If nothing else, CBS’s Fire Nation is a great lesson in how everything can be deadly in the right circumstances, or rather, in the wrong circumstances.
Regardless, I’m completely hooked on this series and can’t wait to see more to come. It would be nice to include at least one more shirtless scene with the talented Max Theriot. I’m just saying that.
