Kleenex must have made a lot of money off of NCIS: Origins. I don’t know how the writers do it, but every episode is more intense than the last. Soon, viewers will become dehydrated and unable to watch the show.
Between returning to Gibbs’ trauma from losing his wife, watching Franks become the entire core of the N.I.A., and a truly heartbreaking case beyond that, I’d say “One Flew Over” is a An almost excessive emotion.
That said, “NCIS: Origins” creates some wacky moments and certainly earns some laughs. For example, I agree with Dr. Lenora Friedman, played by Lori Petty, who says that Lala and Randy will have adorable kids.
Tish has something
Is it just me, or are the writers of NCIS: Origins trying to act like NCIS: Origins Season 1 Episode 6 didn’t happen?
We’d all love to know Agent Lara Dominguez’s backstory and insights, but viewers have more questions. These problems persist after One Flew Over.
Seriously, what’s the deal with this character? At least she admitted to Tish during the haircut that something was wrong with her. That still didn’t explain what her problem was.
Speaking of Tish, what was that scene between her and Franks at the end of the episode? I’m too invested in this series to miss anything, so it looks like another side story is brewing.
In NCIS: Origins Season 1 Episode 5, Tish believed that Franks was so involved in the case because of his feelings for the victim’s sister.
Obviously, this is far from the truth. We just learned that Mike has been investigating a guy who did something bad to Tish.
Then, at that moment, Mac found Tish crying in the bathtub. what is going on? If you know anything about what’s going on, please leave it in the comments.
Nothing brings two men together like raising a little bird back to health
We finally found out what Mike asked Vera to investigate in the NCIS: Origins season premiere when they secretly met and she handed him the file. Raise your hands if you thought that was about Gibbs.
While Gibbs may be the protagonist of NCIS: Origins , the series is actually McFranks’ story, which only makes us, the viewers, happier.
Don’t get me wrong – Gibbs is a great character and Austin Stowell is killing it, but you have to admit, the scenes with Mike in them are always better.
Gibbs and Mike have come a long way since their first meeting. I’m shocked Franks let Gibbs hit him in the face like that. I’m sure he’s about to KO Gibbs.
Thankfully, that was over after Gibbs and Franks nursed a baby bird back to health. Maybe Gibbs is the one Tish should be worried about – just kidding.
“NCIS: Origins” is a multi-layered drama that will make you cry one second and laugh the next
Gibbs had been experiencing mood swings for a long time. Seeing him at his lowest really shows how much he has recovered. However, we still know what happens next.
One Flew Over finally delivers what I and many viewers may have been waiting for. As weird as it is, we need to see Gibbs (Austin Stowell) at rock bottom to understand how far he’s come.
Thankfully, this episode wasn’t all trauma and heartbreak. As I mentioned, there are some comedic moments, and although they are few and far between, they can’t be missed.
For example, I don’t know if this is funny, but does anyone else think it’s weird that Gibbs is trying to get a refund for his crutches? If anything, he should have kept them given the dangers of his job.
Speaking of work, that’s what he has to worry about the most, and I’m not talking about criminals either. Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten what the NIS agent said to Gibbs in the break room.
When you ask, “What’s on that doorknob?” and the person replies, “I haven’t washed my hands in twenty years,” it’s time to take off the protective clothing. This is disgusting, I’m going to tell Mary Jo.
NCIS: Origins May Be Heading to a Cliff
While the episode is filled with emotion, there are also many devastating moments about the case in this episode. However, discovering the truth can be the worst.
Dementia is a scary thing that many families around the world face every day. This is difficult for people with dementia, and also difficult for the loved ones around them.
My grandfather suffered from dementia before he passed away, and many other viewers may have had experiences with the disease. If you have encountered something similar, please discuss it in the comments.
Finding out that my daughter-in-law accidentally killed Alice is simply unacceptable. If you’re like this TV fanatic, you’ve been struggling from the very first shot of Franks (Kyle Schmid) finding Alice on the floor.
I have to hand it to the writers of NCIS: Origins. They’re sadistic about their cases and plots, but, damn, do they know how to pull emotion from the audience’s core.
With the season scheduled to take a break, we may experience a twist or two. Personally, I returned to exploring more of Gibbs’ trauma.
In “One Flew Over,” we can clearly see that Gibbs is a masochistic, sad man. I’m sure there’s a technical term for this, but I’m a TV critic, not a psychologist.
However, it was obvious that Gibbs was the kind of sad person who took all the pain on himself.
That’s why he wants to know every detail of what happens to his wife and daughter when he returns home. That’s why he attempted suicide. That’s why he tried to drown his pain with a bottle of wine.
However, now that he’s in a better position, it will be interesting to see where his head is now. Is he better at figuring things out? Was he planning to kill Pedro off-screen all along?
Maybe Gibbs is moving on, but something will happen next to reignite his passion. There is so much that is up in the air and the other shoe could drop at any moment.
Still, if I could ask the NCIS Origins writers, we’d get some sort of standalone episode focusing on Tyra Abercrombie’s Mary Jo Jo) and Randy (9-1-1) played by Caleb Foote.
These two are the levity the show needs, but we need more backstory. Did you know Randy has a kid and a wife? Because I don’t.
Then again, the first seven episodes of NCIS: Origins are an intense rollercoaster of murder, tears, and guns—and it’s a truly outstanding series.
As mentioned above, CBS’ NCIS: Origins still has a few more episodes to air before it takes a break after the new year. A lot can happen between now and then, especially after the show receives a full-season order.
What do you hope will happen before NCIS: Origins goes on hiatus?
What do you think is going on in Gibbs’ head right now?
