I have some depressing news to share with you Edgar Wright– made Scott Pilgrim Takes Off animated series. Netflix withheld it after just one season.
scott pilgrim vs. the world Fans were excited when the series was first announced, offering a new anime style for Bryan Lee O’Malley’s original Scott Pilgrim comic series.
The show is fun, but I guess the fan base isn’t big enough to warrant a second season. O’Malley shared news of the cancellation on X, saying:
“It’s been a year Scott Pilgrim Takes Off came out. It was a privilege to work with all the cast and crew around the world. It’s like conducting a symphony orchestra every day.
“From that moment on [series writer BenDavid Granbinski] The idea was sparked and the project felt like a one-of-a-kind miracle. Regardless, we were recently told that the show won’t be returning.
“As you know, we were only planning to make one season and had a lot of help making it happen, so making more seasons was next to impossible. Still, I know some of you have been holding out hope. .
one of the things that caused Scott Pilgrim Takes Off What’s special is that all of the actors from the movie are back to reprise their roles, including Michael Serra Playing Scott Pilgrim, mary elizabeth winstead Playing Ramona Flowers, satya baba As Matthew Patel, Kieran Culkin As Wallace Wells, chris evans As Lucas Lee, Anna Kendrick as stacey pilgrim Brie Larson as jealous adams Alison Pill Played by Kim Pine, Aubrey Plaza Playing Julie Powers, Brandon Routh Playing Todd Ingram, Jason Schwartzman as Gideon Graves Johnny Simmons Playing “young” Neil Nordgraf, Mark Webb Playing Stephen Stiles, Mae Whitman as Roxie Richter, and Huang Ailun As Zhou Dao.
I would love to see the series get another season, but it’s not hard to see why we won’t get one.
