Netflix announces renewal of animated series Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft Season 2.
I haven’t finished watching the first season yet, but from what I’ve seen so far, it’s okay. While it wasn’t as good as I had hoped, enough people were watching it on Netflix that they actually wanted to develop a second season.
Hayley Atwell (Captain America: The First Avenger, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1) stars in the show and voices Lara Croft.
Season 1 is set after the events of the video game reboot trilogy. “Lara Croft, one of the video game industry’s most iconic adventurers, makes her animated debut in a new series.
“Continuing the events of the highly successful Tomb Raider video game reboot trilogy, this animated series will chart the latest and greatest adventures of the world-traveling heroine. After the release of her first game Twenty-five years later, Laura continues to explore new territory.

Lara Croft’s thrilling new adventure takes her around the world, delving into the hidden secrets of Orissa’s history and evading the machinations of a dangerous and mysterious billionaire who wants to put a mask on his own while Discover that these relics hold dark secrets and a power to resist. In fact, this power may be divine.
showrunner Tasha Huo Teasing her vision for Laura’s character evolution in season 2: “So the theme of season 1 was Laura coming to terms with how her father dealt with grief, which was isolating. When we meet Laura, she’s very isolating. …
“As we went into season two, we were trying to build Laura’s team over the course of the show, so she went from being a lone hero who just wanted to do things on her own — a lone wolf — to realizing, ‘Actually, , I have a very cool team behind me.”
