Fito Páez has set a new date for his free concert in Mexico City’s Zócalo, which had been postponed after suffering a broken rib in an accident in September. Ana Francis López, the Mexican capital’s culture minister, confirmed at a press conference on Friday (January 3) that the Argentinian singer-songwriter will perform on January 18.
He will speak at the so-called Primer Cuadro de la Ciudad de México before a performance on January 1 at the National Auditorium in Mexico City. 21-22, as well as his concert in Guadalajara, Jalisco, on January 21. 26.

In September, Paes revealed on social media channels that he had suffered an accident, resulting in five broken ribs, and that concerts scheduled to be held in Mexico and Colombia this month would be rescheduled.
Mexico City’s Zocalo Plaza is the country’s main public square and the second largest in the world after Beijing’s Tiananmen Square, home to international artists such as Roger Waters, Paul McCartney and Rosalia.
