O’Hagan’s journalistic articles “take readers on a journey of technological innovation that is transforming the global financial system and the many eccentric and mercurial characters he encounters.”
Sachs shared in a statement: “This movie will be akin to watching ‘The Social Network’ but not knowing who Mark Zuckerberg’s character is. I’m excited that we have the right team to bring O’Hagan’s investigation to The events that have taken place since that period were put into practice.
Producer Damiano Tucci added: “We are delighted to be working with David, Daniel and Mark on this upcoming project. The story of the creators of Bitcoin has captivated the world for years. We can’t wait wanted to delve into one of the greatest mysteries of modern times and gain a deeper understanding of the world of cryptocurrency.
Banks said: “Bringing such a complex story to life was a challenge I was eager to take on. This film will not only explore the question of ‘Who is Satoshi Nakamoto?’ Also included are the cultural and technological ripple effects that Bitcoin’s creation has had and will continue to have on our world.
Script writer Mark Goffman added: “What I like is that this isn’t another story about cryptocurrency fraudsters or even greed. It’s the story of flawed, overlooked outsiders who struggled in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis. Rebelling against Wall Street while the crisis took everything away from them and millions of others, they created a currency that revolutionized global finance.
It sounds like this could end up being a fascinating movie.
