Showtime releases new trailer Dexter prequel series Bloodthirsty Forensic: Original Sin. As Dexter learns and embraces his code of killing bad guys who escape justice, it gives us the best look at the series so far.
It looks like it’s going to be a great show, especially for fans of the Forbidden series. It’ll be interesting to see how Dexter’s origin story unfolds!
Michael Hall The show is set in Miami in 1991 and tells the story of Dexter (Patrick Gibson), “A student perfects his killer skills with the help and support of his adoptive father Harry (Christian Slater).
“In his father, he found comfort and understanding, especially as his bloodlust grew and could no longer be ignored. As his only confidant, Harry taught Dexter a code designed to Help him find and kill the damned while avoiding getting caught by law enforcement.
“This was a particular challenge for young Dexter as he began his forensic internship with the Miami Metro Police Department.”
Hall previously said of the series: “In a way, I had a premonition of what was going to happen. I spent a lot of time with the character and filling in those imaginative blanks in this colorful show… ….This is awesome.
showrunner Clyde Phillips Said of the prequel: “Expect what you’ve seen before, but better. It’s great to see these characters as they were younger, and I promise you the storytelling will be surprising, amazing and satisfying.

The series’ cast also includes Patrick Dempsey, molly brown, James Martinez, Christina Milian, Shimizu Alex, Reno Wilson and special guest stars Sarah Michelle Gellar. Hall will speak the inner monologue inside Dexter’s head throughout the show.
The show is scheduled to premiere on December 15th.
