movie star Jason Momoa and jack blackwhich will take viewers on a wacky and fun adventure set in the overworld, where you can make anything you dream up and anything you imagine can be built using building blocks.
The plot synopsis is as follows: “Welcome to minecraftcreativity not only helps you craft, but is crucial to one’s survival! Four misfits – “Garbage Man” Garrett Garrison, Henry, Natalie and Dawn find themselves struggling with ordinary problems when they are suddenly pulled through a mysterious portal into the overworld: a bizarre… A cube wonderland that thrives in the imagination.
“To return home, they must take control of the world (and protect it from evils like piglins and zombies) while embarking on a magical quest with an unexpected expert craftsman named Steve (Black).
“Together, their adventures will challenge the five to be brave and rediscover the qualities that make each of them uniquely creative…the skills they need to thrive in the real world.”
The film also stars Emma Myers (Wednesday), Danielle Brooks (Purple), Sebastian Eugene Hansen (“Just Mercy”, Lisey’s story), and Jennifer Coolidge.
Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures will release the film exclusively in North American theaters and IMAX on April 4, 2025.
