succession Actors Nicholas Braun, David Castaneda and OT Fagbenle have joined the cast climb Director Michael Covino’s upcoming sex comedy splitvillefrom Neon and Topic Studios.
Previously announced Dakota Johnson, Adria Horner, Covino and Kyle Marvin will also star in the film. Neon International is shopping splitville AFM conference in Las Vegas this week. The independent production company recently completed production.
The comedy centers on Ashley (Arjona), who asks for a divorce from well-meaning Carey (Marvin), who then asks his friends Julie (Johnson) and Paul (Covino) Ask for support. Carey is then shocked to discover that the secret to their happiness is an open marriage, which he attempts, only to overstep his bounds and throw all of their relationships into chaos.
Covino and Marvin broke through with 2019’s critically acclaimed indie comedy climbThe film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and was picked up by Sony Pictures Classics. The two co-starred in the film, which also marked Covino’s directorial debut and showcased his talents.
Neon is coming soon splitville Domestic and planned for release in 2025. Neon International is responsible for worldwide sales. Neon and Topic Studios have previously collaborated on Brandon Cronenberg’s work Infinity swimming poolwhich marks Neon’s first time producing his own work in theaters.
splitville Developed as part of Topic Studios’ multi-year first-look deal with Covino and Marvin following their collaboration on Covino’s directorial debut climb. Covino and Marvin are producing alongside Topic Studios and Neon, along with Emily Korteweg, under the team’s production banner Watch This Ready.
Johnson, Law Donnelly and Samantha Lacanelli also serve as producers for TeaTime Pictures, with Arjona and Paul Barber serving as executive producers.
