The African American Film Critics Association (AAFCA) has announced the winners of its 16th annual AAFCA Awards and 2025 Special Achievement Awards.
Nicole Avant, Malcolm Washington, Ray Fisher, Rummel Rose and Brad Pitt’s production company Plan B Entertainment will be at the Beverly Wilshire in Los Angeles on February 19, 2025 Awarded at the AAFCA Awards Ceremony held at the hotel.

Whitfield, a veteran Emmy Award-winning actress, will receive a Legacy Award in recognition of her long and storied career, which includes Josephine Baker, eve estuary and Albany Road. nickel boy Starring Brandon Wilson and Ethan Herisse will receive the AAFCA’s Emerging Talent Award, and the film will also receive the Karen & Stanley Kramer Social Justice Award.
