When the series begins, Hana is enjoying a TV show with her boyfriend, Ethan MacPherson (Michael Raymond James). I get excited when I see the women on Remy’s team experiencing romance. Why are Ray (Edwin Hodge) and Remy the only happy ones in the family? To make up for his recent disappearance, Ethan shares his plans to take Hannah to the Radio City Christmas Pageant. They were about to kiss when Ethan stopped to take the dog out. As soon as he walked out, a message appeared on his phone, and Hana’s agent couldn’t miss the opportunity to read it. The message said: “Thinking of you tonight. I’ll be late if you need me. XOXO” (hugs and kisses). Hana’s happiness didn’t last long, did it?
After being crowned, given a sash and bouquet, Miss Honduras (Susana Serra) begins her triumphant journey before collapsing dead. Sarin gas, a chemical weapon, killed Miss Honduras, Miss Philippines and injured Miss Canada, prompting Remy’s team to respond. The Fugitive Task Force (FTF) plans to interview all contestants as potential suspects, and “when we do that, we can ask them how they would end world hunger,” Remy said. Interesting, right? I told you Remy had the best lines.
Meanwhile, Remy and Agent Cheryl Barnes (Roxie Sternberg) go to the hotel where the pageant contestants are staying to review the security footage. Remy and Agent Cheryl Barnes (Roxie Sternberg) notice a woman using the employee entrance, and no one recognizes her except Remy. That woman was a contestant, Annalize Nielsen, who introduced herself to Remy as Miss Norway. The woman’s real name is Harper Dorval (Caroline Day). She is not a beauty contestant; she is not Norwegian, and this is not a simple murder case, but an international espionage case like The Bourne Supremacy.
Conversations with the Honduran embassy and Harper’s former law professor Ben Lifkowitz (David Manis) slow the show down a bit. But I knew the plot needed these characters to help Harper become an international assassin. The FBI, through the embassy, discovered that Harper had used a third false passport to enter Honduras. Honduras was supposed to deport Harper, but her case disappeared. how? Why? The Honduran government considered Miss Honduras to be an anti-government dissident and needed to kill her in a brazen way – as if live on television – to deter future dissidents. Harper was the girl who saw the job done.

Harper was saddened when her professor rejected his recommendation to work at a law firm. He doesn’t give advice casually. Instead, Harper vacationed in Paris for a few months and stayed there for a year. Why? She fell in love. The professor has a photo of Harper and her lover Adrian DuBois (Nicholas Seiler). Soon, the FBI discovered that Adrian DuBois had multiple aliases and, like Harper, was a hired assassin.
Harper continues her one-woman crime spree. She killed the Vietnamese man as he took a selfie outside the restaurant. After the assassination, Remy’s team used CCTV cameras to track Harper’s whereabouts. Harper eventually arrived in New Jersey carrying a heavy bag believed to possibly contain a bomb or a long gun. Ray noticed a press pass taped to the bag. Coincidentally, the Argentine football team planned to take a photo with the president. Cheryl calls her old friend Sergeant Vincent Sayles (Colin Walker), who cheekily answers the phone and says, “Agent Barnes likes Kim Kearns.” Remy interrupted, instructing the chief to stop the shooting by any means necessary.

FTF rushes to the stadium. As they approach, Cheryl Barnes (Roxie Sternberg) spots the car Harper is driving. When they broke into the vehicle, they discovered that Harper was carrying a bag filled with money! Harper must be here to assassinate the president. Remy ordered the team to disperse while robbing viciously. He growled, “Stay alert. Watch your back. Keep your finger on the trigger.” Remy found Harper first. They fight. She lost her battle with Remy, but not her battle with the FBI. Later, the CIA arrested her with the intention of extraditing her to the Philippines.
Remi believed Harper was here to assassinate the Argentine president. A third-act twist reveals Harper is not the murderer. The CIA hired her to eliminate the real assassin, her former lover Du Bois. Remy is skeptical until Harper explains that she knows how DuBois works. To prove the point, Harper said Du Bois never worked alone but with presidential security personnel. Remy didn’t waver. Harper questioned why the photo shoot was still going on when the FBI ordered it to be canceled. Remy asks Ray over the radio who eliminated the threat. As Du Bois kills him, Ray finds the “insider.” The FBI closed in on DuBois, and Remy wounded him in a shootout.
When Harper and DuBois begin to bicker, the story becomes delightfully soapy. Harper mocked her for working for the CIA. Du Bois accused her of loving money more than he did. If not, she should return to life in the United States. Remy had had enough of the two of them, telling Du Bois, “The CIA hired her to capture you.” Live to see another day before dying. Put your gun down, Franky. You are the one person I would kill for free.

This episode returns to Hana and Ethan’s story. He canceled their date to see the Christmas pageant because he had to work. He told her he would make it up to her. “Of course,” Hana said tartly, “we can always watch the Christmas show.” Ethan meets the mysterious Jamie. Later, Hana found him passed out on the couch from oxycodone. “I know I was right about you. I’ve had enough of you,” she yells. Is Ethan now just someone Hana used to know?
I love Dylan McDermott, and I love this show, but I hope it improves after watching it. My advice: Recast the cast with a high-profile guest star who appears in a few episodes; stop summarizing things in one episode; or have the team do something morally ambiguous but not illegal. I don’t know; just change it. Once again, the FBI has lost some of its luster. Its saving grace, however, is the glimpse into the personal lives of FTF members. As a self-confessed soap opera addict, this is what keeps drawing me back.
